What kind of mods are done to the car? I have a few custom grinds but it will depend on the mods and how streetable you want the car to be. My cams will increase chop but the emphasis is on performance. A lot of the chop comes from overlap. My cams do have some overlap which helps with performance and will give "chop".
Where are you located? I may have an install shop near you.

Chop is cool old school IMO. I’m an old N/A guy with a big cam on the 426 stroker in my SRT Challenger. It’s amazing how many looks and comments I get at stop lights.

From my experience getting the right "Chop" isnt all that simple. I went thru two different grinds cause I didnt like how quiet the first was. I actually picked up a few HP with the new grind but it had a LOT more chop to it.

Buddy did the same thing at a different shop after not liking the first cam. I referred him to the shop I bought that grind from and he ordered the same grind. That shop was Tune Time Performance NJ.

Just remember U cant just put a cam in it. U need valve springs, titanium retainers and upgraded valves to do it right. Its a LOT of labor. Install with cam and head work was $6500 or so for about 40 hp. Not worth it unless ur doing a host of other things imo.

Especially if ur just looking for "Chop". But plenty have done it just for chop its just not cheap.

I got a mustang as a rental car while at Radford in November just so I could see how it drives because they still make a V8 after this year!

Well what was your opinion about it???
It drove and handled well for a V6 rental but was a very small car compared to the Challengers. I believe I could be happy with a performance V8 version with double the HP of the V6 or better.

You do have to remember the last Mustang I drove on a regular basis was a 69 Mach I, 351C, 4spd, white, black hood and interior

Question is where will you gain the 30hp. There's a competitor with a scat pack cam where it actually lost power before 5000 and really didn't gain until the 6000 - 7000 range. This is why properly specing a cam is important. (this is not the ost cam)
