Happy New Year folks.
So with 2020 done, the Challenger Super Stock production #’s were around 200 units. I know it is a full production vehicle with no limits on the amount of units to be built. How many here plan to order Super Stock and how many dealers you think will stock order?

flipped and flopped over a S/S or TRX
Picked the TRX as it was a more realistic daily driver for me.

Would love to have both.

200 for 2020 still not a bad number considering how late they started. I'm thinking around 800 for 2021

Well, it's a very niche car. It's designed to put in work at the drag strip. On the street, the Redeye is more car than the S/S... mainly due to the larger brakes and higher top speed (S/S is speed limited). So, folks looking for a bad ass daily likely aren't going to pop on something that's more expensive and less street friendly. Racers will get the S/S, but now you're talking about racers who have the $$$ to blow on a new car and race it... vs spending 1/3 of the money on a used build. So, it'll be a niche car that doesn't have the collectable resell value that the Demon has. Thus, as others have mentioned, it'll be an ultra low volume car.

I dont care about resale value..Was curious on what ppl thought production #’s would be @
I plan on racing car everytime I take it out. As all my cars.. lol.. Jury wont be out for a while on collectability? All depends on how many produced. In regards to better street ability? Has softer suspension? You drive a Hellcat 200mph? Lmao
My C7Z06 and my C8 I barley break 180 both 200mph cars. My 19 HC/W/B 160 was most I wanted to push that fatty! I think the Super Stock set up is perfect for track and street if you like the dig 1/4 race or 40 rolls this is all my opinion of coarse!
End of the day, ea their own!

Well, the S/S is greatly speed limited and has smaller brakes. My point on collectability was concerning the Demon. The problem with the S/S is it is basically an unlimited production Demon without a trans brake, so it'll forever be, "Oh, that's just an S/S, not a Demon" in the eyes of the collector market. Then, you have the Redeye, and, for all intensive purposes, is every bit as capable as the S/S outside of the drag strip and comes at a much cheaper price (as of right now, no rebates or power dollars avail on the S/S).

This again is why the car will just not see mass appeal.

If they're still making them in 2 years, I plan to order one myself. It will be a trailered track car for me.

Another variable in production numbers will be...how well these cars perform on the track...if performance is just marginally better than the standard RE...there wont be a huge demand...but if it tears up the tracks....the demand will be high...and people will order like mad....my .02

Hey WidebodyCat congrats on getting your SUPER STOCK .I have one ordered just wanted to know how does it drive in other modes other than track.I hear people bashing it but what i have heard it has the same suspension as the REDEYE just tuned different for track mode.

I don't think folks are bashing the car per se. In any mode but track mode, it drives and handles like a Redeye. What we were "bashing" was folks who want an S/S and never intend to track it. Thus, they are buying a Redeye, and just paying more for having a slower car with less competent brakes for a considerably higher price.

In contrast, folks who plan on using the car for its intended purpose will likely be on the track, in track mode, a lot. That's where the S/S shines. If someone is never going to put passes down on the track, then the Redeye is the thing to have in my opinion.

Thanks for your reply.I'm an old fart so i probably won't track it.I just like the newest and greatest product.More concerned how it drives and handles.I got a great trade in on my Redeye so i said what the hell.Who knows i might change my mind and you can give me some pointers on how to launch it.

Thank you! Only have 35 miles on her so far. Weather sucks in NY right now. Cant wait to get some seat time. The drive home from dealer felt almost same as my 19 HC/WB. Did not hear much tire noise.. will post more when I get some better weather!
