There was a track rental today and I was going to go hang for an hour or two then head over to my Dads to check power on my JMS. Well I stayed 4 hours at the track hanging out with friends so never made it to Dads:unsure:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the track for 3 different events

He helped me to start pulling data when another tuner stopped answering my texts for help.

Then he sent me a tune and I ran a PB!

The bypass cable was bad and @jgilj put the jumper in the trunk which is performing perfectly.

Agreed, I bring my dad to the track with me as often as he will go. He's been there for all my milestone passes. He will be at Cecil for the final stand. hope to push into the 8's with him there watching. After all he's the reason I have this obsession in the first place.

I was in the car business when my dad was alive. He loved going to Manheim with me about once a month and he would drive cars to and from there for me.

Geez you guys make it sound like I dont see my dad. I just didn't make it Sunday. He was at the track friday and I will see him this weekend

I guess that I miss those times with him. When I was a kid he worked all the time.

Here's a good question: back in the day, what was your dad's best pass?

Mine was: none. Nearest track was 75 miles away or more. So he generally street raced but only rarely. See my post on the Ford LTD country squire with police interceptor engine being used to spank a guy in a trans am light to light in front of the freaking courthouse. While he smoked his pipe in his suit shirt and slacks.

So, I became basically a street.racer w occasional trips to the track.
