I've heard many stories about eTorque and most, not good. That's one of the reasons I ordered a 2024 Ram Classic. I was able to order the Hemi, without eTorque and my Ram Classic fit in my garage, as it's 4" shorter. I don't understand eTorque and what was the problem. I played it safe, bought the Ram Classic and the truck has been great.

Yup.

Before getting my DSRT 392 I had the 400 hp/415 lb ft 3.0L Ecoboost V6 Explorer ST.
I had the dealer install the factory backed Ford Performance Tune (430 hp/465 lb ft.).
With that it was as fast as my 392 (13.1 sec for the ST vs. 13.0 for the DSRT).
But it wasn't a V8, which is why I made the switch.
The 392's only downside was the price.
ST sticker was 54k, 392 was 86k.

The 89k Hurricane F-150 cost almost exactly what my 392 was. All vehicles today seem overpriced.

On a perfect day, with good gas a DDSRT 392 can pull off a 12.7 at 107;)

I have a "24" e Torque....my last truck was a "21" non e Torque...I notice NO difference...nothing...I;m not even sure what it does..

My Explorer ST with the factory tune caused it to have occasional wheel hop, never an issue with the DSRT 392.
And the ST did not have Adaptive Damping Suspension, Launch Control or Performance Pages.
All in all, it's pretty clear the 392 is much more performance orientated.
But the '22 ST Base Price was $50k, the '22 DSRT 392 was $70k.
Not sure all of the 392's extras amounts to an additional $20k.
But I guess that's the price you pay for being different!

That's the problem, no one knows what it does except raise the price and add more shit to go wrong!

They should have put in the 6.4 and/or left off the Etorque BS. Complexity that doesnt need to be there and will only cause problems and if nothing else is likely as useful as the start/stop bullshit we are saddled with on every new car. Price is a problem too. Far too expensive. They still dont get it. They need a lightning strike NOW not half measures that wont likely work. There isnt much time before that ship hits the iceberg, but they are playing it like they have forever

I know what it does. I saw a yt video show that it turns a simple spark plug change into an 8+ hr job.
To get to the plugs you now have to remove the etorque crap--and to get to that bracket you have to remove the wheel and fender liner and a bunch of stuff just to get access.

My 2024 Ram Classic Warlock has been a great truck, I got most of the options, the heated seats were great, last winter. I had a 2018 Big Horn, another great truck, but more options available on the 2024 Classic. The last Ram Classic was made Oct 04, last year, they will be missed...

I've had 8 ram P/U's the past 25 yrs..(new one every 3 yrs)...never changed a spark plug ever...and all see 100,000 plus

My lease is up in 27...have no idea what the P/U market will look like by then...but I wont have the brand loyalty I've had in the past...

I have a similar problem with Ram, as I plan on getting a smaller truck in the near future. Towing is getting to be a bit much, no need for a full size truck and I am planning on a mid size truck, but Ram is out of the picture, sad...
