It seemingly doesn't do squat on mine, except make Mr. Squiggly light up....

Am I supposed to lift when that happens?

:p

On my Hellcat it felt like someone literally cut the throttle and it took a couple seconds to recover.

On the 170 I've barely noticed at all. Had to look at a data log to confirm what I thought was TC actually was.

The traction control on the 170 is real good. Far better than my ‘22 Redeye & rips on a 20” drag radial.

M6 characteristic/shortfall perhaps?

I have same tire on 19 RE. 315/50R17 3rd set on custom wheels. It does well but the 170 handles traction control far better even though more power, so yes I would definitely say they spent the time with test and tune at the track to get every last ounce of bite possible. No I don’t experience the same power cut in the 170 as RE when traction control nanny steps in.

That kind of thing should be an update available to all cars.

I don't need the fancy drag mode and launch stuff. although that's nice...imagine what the base cars could do with a little refinement like that!

The TC feedback (for launch control anyway)is in the tune. Would be curious to see how it’s different in the 170 calibration to a regular hellcat or redeye

I don't know where to find it in the tuning. I've never seen TC tables other than torque mgmt which just reduce timing, bleed boost, etc. What I think is different in the 170 is the amount of slip allowed at the tire and how much torque mgmt intervenes when detected. I always thought the Hellcat TC programming was too heavy handed.

Well, spring racing season is all but over and not one single trip to the track. It has rained about non-stop here since February. Beech Bend's Wild Street class did run on Saturday but after hours of rain delay and I don't drive this car in the rain so had to miss it. So now it'll just be cruise ins and what not for the hot summer months. Maybe this fall will be better.

Went to Cars and Coffee instead and it was awesome. Probably 800+ cars there and as usual I had the only Demon of any type. So odd I never see another one. People freak out when they see it, even little kids like 4 years old. Pretty cool to see them get so excited about it.
