And many Legion members hide a lot of secrets, tricks, cheats that they dont want anyone to know which makes it very difficult for anyone to trust their word as truth. Just saying...
I have often seen Demon owners post factual information that other members dismiss as untruthful. @BeeHappy posted his car’s weight and immediately questioned about its accuracy or truthfulness.

Another weight difference that he didn’t mention was the minimal sound deadening and truck carpet delete under the no option single seat. The single seats also eliminate wiring harness connections to the passenger seat. Those aren’t major weight contributors, but it all adds up.

I simply replied to the Demon's weight with several of a dozen different sites that says the Demon weighs 4280lbs. Take that for what it is, its Dodge's official weight. I'm sure there some variation but not 300lbs between Demons with different options. I have my doubts about many things surrounding the vehicle but since you have to be part of a super secret society to get into events where the magic happens, I'll continue to have my doubts.

I have resently recieved 2 important facts from Jim Wilder in private emails. And I quote......

#1 "She ran 965, then I got in the car and ran 966...no tricks, stock everything down to wheels, tires and gas"

So, once and for all, the car that set the record was factory stock with Sonoco GT260 and the factory Crate Track Pack.

#2 " Lightest possible Demon build is around 4280 if I remember correctly. Drain the washer fluid (-8lbs) and run on 4-5 gals of fuel (-85lbs), puts us about 93lbs down. That should put us just under 4200lbs"

If you do the math a one seat car is 4187 lbs before adding the crate items. Adding the crate items would take it down to 4147 with 5 gallons of fuel (front skinnies save 18 pounds each plus the side mirror delete).
Our 4280 with driver weight was chosen from these exact figures. That is #4147 Plus Leah Pritchett. Even that is kind of moot because Jim said he weighed 190 and he was only .01 slower. I chalk this up to more seat time or maybe he had better conditions at that exact time.
MSHS uses 4280 for that reason as well.

I will tell you this......If you add back in my "known" weight reduction and do the math, then my car is lighter than the factory said by maybe 30 pounds. But it still has plenty of seam sealer/adhesives and a full one seat interior etc. They did not delete absolutely everything. This is based on 2 resent scales wights at Texas Motorplex and Houston Raceway Park. Maybe they are both off.

@DRAGRCR If Houston was off it couldn’t be much. I weighed my single seat twice. The scale showed 4120 lbs and 4125 lbs. I suspect the 5 lb difference was fuel weight. My only weight reduction from pure stock is MTs versus Nittos. I haven’t drained any fluids or taken anything out. Those weights include the skinnies and mirror delete. Your weight info matches mine almost exactly.

Yes my stock weight would be right there. Almost exactly the same.

Talking about one seats...anyone know of one for sale?
If you find one let me know. I’m trying to keep track of them. I know where three are and I knew where a fourth was, but it sold and they won’t give me any info on the buyer.

We shouldn’t hate on these guys besides racers have had their secrets forever,it’s part of racing, Byron shared with me some information about how they make these cars perform so well, ( nothing that’s cheating) and when I watched it run a 9.64 run Saturday I knew that running a tenth or so quicker in better da was definitely achievable and the fact I’ve seen the car in person I can vouch for the legitimacy of it , back in December when I saw the car run 9.70 I honestly thought to myself no way these demons beat the record but these guys are mad scientist and they have dissected the car and taken time to make it happen I personally think they can get a high 9.4 but I can’t see them going faster than that , and I’ll continue to drag their ass ( stock ones at least ) 😂😂😂

Thinking on what you said, I would like to highlight for everyone how I think the Demon is a treasure worth the effort to own.
We now can, with relative ease, get a single seat configured Demon to run 9.7s regularly and at 0 DA run 9.6s... with great air run 9.5s.... even if folks keep trying to discredit because of wheels and tires... no matter.
Look at a RedEye, what do you do to get one to 9.7s... daily
Look at what you do for a hellcat.
Now..look at a GT500, ZL1
I can literally go to dealer and warranty everything.... Is that not a game changer?

We live in a time when we have not seen since the late 1960s...

MoPar leads the way...again
