RF Lockout Install scheduled for Tuesday…question please…

I understand the process is supposed to take a 1/2 hr or so, but how will know if they’ve actually done anything? Is there a process to test that the TSB install is actually working? Thanks.

Discussion about mixing E85 with pump gas to raise octane.

Now after reading this article it seems to make good sense to mix E85 with pump gas, either 91 or 93, to yield a higher octane blend. The idea is to help keep the PCM from pulling timing, especially with the summer here. As a benefit it will also cost less to fill a tank with a blend rather...

So if I’m changing out the brake fluid in my M6 car…

Does it include the clutch fluid being swapped out? What I mean to say are there two different processes? I did the rears and ran out of time time so I’ll pick it up tomorrow. I’m swapping out my 8 yr old oem with DO4, eventually finishing with Motol 5.1. I’ve still got to figure how to get my...

So is this revised “tile” the tracking device we’ve been looking for?

Seems to disable the ability of thieves scanning for, and removing tracking device. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/tile-takes-aim-at-bluetooth-tracker-industrys-theft-and-stalking-measures-with-launch-of-anti-theft-mode-301748350.html

So it seems I’ll need a battery shortly

My Ctek indicates my battery is seriously sulfated. Car is still on oem and going on 8 yrs. Dont really feel the need for a big dollar light weight unit as I don’t race the car. Just looking for something with equal or preferably better power. Prefer AGM over lead acid I guess? Is the vent...

Storing car on Quickjacks over the winter.

So for the last 2 seasons I’ve stored my car on the Quickjacks with no issues as far as I can tell. We had family over yesterday and my uncle, an old time car guy, said storing the car for a few months with the suspension sagging to full drop is not a good idea. I had always heard that, but...

    M/T 315 50 R17 question please…

I just picked up a used set or 17x10 Bogart D10 rear rims with MT 305 45 R17’s. The wheel gap on my ‘15 Challenger is too big. Tires will need to be replaced next season. I saw a few threads where guys are using the MT 315 50 R17, which I think would fill fill my wheel well nicely. Although I...

Anyone have experience with Bogart 17x10 D10’s?

I’m looking at a used set for the rear of my ‘15 Challenger HC. Just curious if there is anything I should consider before purchase? Are the shorter sway bar end links required? What about lug nuts? Are they ok to run on the street? Primarily street driven car, but the price seems fair. Thanks.

How can I determine the width of a wheel with a tire already mounted?

I suppose I can consider the width of each side of the tire outside of the wheel, add them together and subtract that from the overall width of the tire. Then figure the back spacing and compare those two numbers to the manufacturers listing to see which numbers come close. Any thoughts...

Any sense to buying a used DCR Battery for a street car?

I could probably get one from a local guy for something like 350. I don't know how old it is, so I've got to check that out first. The OEM battery in my '15 HC is going on 7 yrs now, so I'm anticipating a replacement any time, but I keep it on a CTEK charger and it hasn't failed me yet. I'd...

What are you guys using for an OBDII Scanner that enables us to bleed ABS Module?

Looking to do a brake fluid swap and see several available. Just wondering what you guys use before I invest $200.00-300.00. I don't need a full featured commercial machine. Entry level is fine as long as I can bleed the ABS Module. Thanks

Rear AAD Suspension set up question...

I've posted this on the other site as well, so I'm apologizing in advance to those who visit both. I'm a little pressed for time, so can use a few answers over the next day or so. I've got an appointment for an alignment on Wednesday and was wondering how I want the tech to set up my AAD Rear...

    Wall mounted tire rack

Can any of you guys recommend a wall mounted tire storage rack? I’ve got an area about 48-54 inches wide that I can use. Of course I’m scared that a loaded shelf it will pull from the wall and trash both of my cars. I’d like to find a wall mounted rack that will secure at 16in intervals to...

Pinning the crank, and now I'm stuck. Help please...

So I'm following Speedy's tutorial on YT. Car up plenty high on the Quick jack. So far so good. I was warned against covering myself in coolant, so that's exactly what I did, no prob. Now I'm to the point of removing the stock crank bolt. 2015 M6 HC, tranny in gear, parking brake set. I...

Need help deciding what to wire kill switch to…

Kill switch installed and now I’m just looking for suggestions as to what wire I want to interrupt and where to find it. Car is an M6 so going to the starter solenoid while good, would still permit bump starting the car, I would have to think. I also don’t want to completely cut power to...

Looking for ideas where to hide a kill switch…

Anyone car to share ideas where I may hide a kill switch? I sit in the car thinking but nothing really seems to jump out at me. I was thinking in the vent ducting that runs from the d/s dash to d/s door but that looks like a pita removing the ducting. Anyone…? A PM would be great so as not...

Anyone see any downside to this magnet on oil filter?

Found this magnet in my tool box, it’s almost the width of the bottom of the oil filter. Any thoughts why attaching this might be a bad idea? I’m certain it’s strong enough to stay on, it’s just not one of those super strong rare earth types. Appreciate your thoughts, thanks.

Any of you guys using the Per4mance Development Brace with the MFER’s?

According to the PD website the brace may not fit with some exhaust valve bypass kits. Thanks.
