Jon and I were able to make it to the track last night. The prep was there the 1st pass but went south. There were not a lot of cars running and it was a tnt for the domestic vs import so you would think the prep would have been good. I watched the last 30 minutes they ran and nothing with good power was getting down the track

So 1st and foremost the AAD arms and tires made a huge improvement on how the car launched. Before it felt stiff and violent. It would hook most of the time before the pulley change. After the pulley change I had some crazy bad wheel hop. I was able to get it to stick once and we pulled timing out of it and even went to going into full throttle slowly to hook. I don't want to easy in or take timing out if I don't have too. 1st pass it felt like the rear was sinking into melted butter and real smooth. I had a 1.45 60 ft and ran 9.98@138. Car was plenty warm. Normally get to the track and let the car cool for awhile but Jon was behind so we were running a little late. I do know my trans temp was showing 177. Next pass it spun but zero wheel hop which I can live with but run was lost. There was a lot of water in the box and I really don't think I got it all off the tires. Next pass was a 1.49 60 ft but I think I may have eased into a little after what happen the last pass and went 10.03@139. If I think the burnout didn't go well I try to clean the tires off again. Every time it was spinning pretty easy. I wonder if there was water past the box. The last run I was in for all or nothing, it spun but quickly hooked and felt real strong. I had a 1.49 60 and another 9.98@ 138

Last time out DA was 2050 for my 9.85 pass. DA was the same 2100. Differences were the temp was higher last time but the humidity was higher this time. Barometer was better last time at 30.15 to 29.85. DA showed about the same but think the air over all was better last time. For the weight and height difference in the 315's I was expecting maybe a .05 difference but was more then a tenth. Hard to make a full call that it is a tenth difference but for how the car feels I like it way better and would not go back to a 305. Some have said to run the 3.09's with the 315's and that may be what I have to do I was also at the heaviest weight at 4680

Well the last time out you pretty much had the best prep you will ever see. The fact this time you cut two 1.4x 60s in some of the worst prep is a good sign.

So as far as how much the tires change the gear ratio. Going from a 28.1 to a 29.4 changes the 2.62 to a 2.50 so not much of a change. With 3.09 they would be 2.95

Going from a 2.62 to a 3.09 was about a tenth difference. The tires are only moving the gear ratio a little bit. Yes they are 5 lbs each heavier but you could have the much difference in aftermarket wheels.

Nice passes, results & info @vortecd, I like the 315 too even though their 5 lbs. heavier.
I'll take the more gear with the 3.09 but on tracks where prep is iffy the 2.62 may help some.

Looks like you may lose a 10th but improve consistency which is what others have said. Will be curious how they do on good prep. Mph didn't change much?

Thinking something else may still be going on because the mph was there but not the time. There have been times I went to the track and DA looked good but car didn't run what I thought it should. Based on the height of the tire changing the gear ratio I don't think it should have slowed down that much
