The new BMW M5 already has this feature sort of, it's all wheel drive but can be set to rear wheel drive only.

Here’s how you can adjust awd in a DSRT. 70% is max you can send to the back. If I’m reading the article right, it’s 2 separate line locks. Pretty cool regardless. I bet some tazer stuff could get in and do same one day.

Don't forget that people are blowing up transfer cases (Trackhawk) and front axles (TRX) as it is.
