Before ordering my Challenger I watched and read a lot of reviews about Hellcats - I did my research and gained some perspective in order to better manage my expectations.

One of the funniest things I learned was the disdain for the length of the doors "making it hard to get out of in a parking space". So out of curiosity I measured the doors on my 80s Monte Carlo SS - which came in at 59". The Challenger is only 55". How have I survived this long with these titanic doors in my life?!

I don't much value in the opinions of others because they are often wussies paralyzed by life's inconsequential nonsense; and are just looking for something to piss and moan about.

I’m guessing long doors are a bigger problem for shorter drivers that have their seats farther forward.

Never heard that complaint before. No matter though, most of us don't park in mall/store lots and when we do, are out in the boonies somewhere :)

Or bigger people who can't fit through the slot.

Maybe the factory should have installed scissor doors like a Lambo?

I never park it close enough to anything outside of my garage to think about the door length. But yes, I agree if anyone has driven a two door sport type car since the 60’s, these are no different.

I believe that is most correct, it is a generational experience thing. Most auto journalists today likely missed some opportunities to drive boats in their youth; with most driving econo-boxes in the 2000s. Hell, I am 40 and have had more "big door" cars than an I care to remember, and it is just part of life with a cool car. So if you jumped out of smaller cars and into a Challenger of course you are going to have to rethink your approach to life with it. My wife's 2002 Camaro had huge doors and was slammed to the ground... that car was a treat getting in and out of.

I just wish someone could review a car and go: this thing is an epic automobile compared to the crap we had just 10-20 years ago, never mind 30 to 50 years ago. Nitpicking and sweating the small stuff will drive you insane.

Amen brother!
2 hour drive to the track and my 392 regularly gets 20 mpg on the trip over if I don't drive like an ass.
And it blows cool air on my butt when it's hot and heats my butt when it's cold!
