Yeah it's silly really that they can't ping a location assuming the antennae aren't disabled, but that's what I was told.

Several years ago guys were stealing Airbags from Chrysler Windsor mini van plant
They tracked the air bags somehow & arrested the guys
I m the worst electrician ever
But even with no main battery supply they should be able to locate it

A cheap tracker attached under the car & setup to your phone could be an option going forward
I found this out when I was dating someone that had a boyfriend I never knew about

Well of course IGLA comes to mind. That's not really the point. They can collect all this data from us from the car, you get nav etc to go anywhere in the country (and more) but they can't locate a missing car. Seems like a huge miss. I'm not saying it should be an automatic track the car deal, but in an emergency you should be able to call in, provide proof of ownership or whatever, and find the thing with all this electronic stuff on them.

OH, and they shouldn't be able to be started without the key in 2 mins either, but that's a different topic of discussion lol.
