Like the title says, from experience what’s the best option for rear drive axels for 850-900 RWHP?

What is stock good for?

Is Redeye it Demon Axels a better choice then say DSS or GForce?

Which is better DSS or GForce?

Warranty issues, who stands behind theirs best?

Any and all opinions and advice and experiences welcome.

I would use Gforce outlaw axles or Axel Foley

I'm running DSS 1500hp axles with 900rwhp, no issues here. I hear most aftermarket axles perform similarly

Interesting, what axles, and how do you "wear them out"?

He has DSS axles . The CV"s would wear and start clicking then eventually clunking from excess play

Interesting, how does that happen? Hard launches? Cornering? Daily driving?

I will let @16GoManGoHC2 give a more detail on his experience with the axles .

Hard launching a M6. They get excess play in the CV in the running config. Take them out lay them flat they feel perfect, my guess soft CV housings. GForce makes their own CV’s out of better material. But DSS has a new design in secret testing, they look just like stock, no more bolts to tighten. They haven’t released anything on them yet but I know of 2 guys testing them for them.
Here’s is my first set of DSS Stage 5 1400 HP units after just 3 months of 1 track day and 19 passes and street use afterwards. The slightest wheel hop kills them.

You know you have the best axles if they have this seal of approval

I am having just this same debate.

I have a metric ton of noise from the rear end. Most of it is whine because of pinion/gear lash (can move DS and feel the take up before inner axle CV moves) but I havent really checked axles yet.

I'm probably just gonna keep sending it til something scatters. Like the CTS-V I had before this...some just have more play/noise than others but they're pretty mechanically solid if you can stand it.

OMG just saw this. Not too sure how much more you have there! I smoked (literally) a CV one day. My problem was I ran it out of lube because of the boots. Noticed it at about 155 stepping on the brake and it felt strange, then saw the smoke out the left mirror! SHIT! Glad he is making a different way of connecting the CV’s because when the suspension squats, let’s just say I know it is real tight back there, especially with some popular aftermarket arms also attached.

I replaced them with yet another set of DSS stage 5’s as I could not wait 4-6 weeks for a set of GForce ones. The other units are going back to DSS for refurb, they will replace the CV’s with what they told me will be “better ones” ?? 🤞🤞

On the old SC GTO I had drag bags set up with a schrader valve built into the rear valence to change the pressure on the fly to help stop the IRS squatting so deeply. Really did the trick. That was at 150% of stock power (450/450 to the wheels) so it's not apples to apples, but I'm sure those stock components weren't up to what our stock components are rated. If I was modding this car I would be concerned if supposedly bullet proof aftermarket parts are not machined perfectly enough to assure adequate clearance and load bearing in almost any reasonable application. Are you saying the suspension geometry was changed in the rear sufficiently to cause excessive wear on the after market axles? What did manufacturer say? Try a warranty claim?

Those should work well, good plan. When you get them let us know if they resemble the eight bearing new Demon type CV’s like we have on the new axles.

If the red eye axles proved to be decent I believe a set of stock ones it's right around $1,100... otherwise I'm waiting to see how this turns out
