Try puncturing a drag radial after midnight in the middle of nowhere with no spare or jack. Wife had to load that shit into her car and bring it to me.

1st trailer happened not long after that.

@Jimmy N. And in the middle of a swamp with gators all around.

That’s why I bring the wife and kids with me with my jack and tool in here car 😉 with 2 of my stock wheels. I try to plan for what has the biggest potential of happening. I’m really considering getting a bolt on trailer hitch and a small trailer for the car. Short of windowing the block or blowing up rear diff should have enough spare parts on hand to get home.

Trailer? Thought this was a street car? 🤔
when you reach a point you get smart and make sure you have a trailer with you. would rather not have been dealing with a tow bill for a 2 hour away track. ask @fumanchu182 it sucks

I was having heat soak problems with my Charger. Driving it was counterproductive.

A trailer makes everything simpler and more convenient especially if you're at an event where you're waiting hours. AC, sun, rain and a place to chill.

I’m just messing with you man, all in fun. I fully expect to be towed home from the track in a few weeks but hopefully not before I shave off 3 tenths or so

Everyone can go back and forth about a trailer. I dont have a truck or a trailer. I could count on 1 hand how many times I broke at the track in 35 years going. I can call a friend or flat bed if need be. There is nothing wrong having one but I would feel funny trailering my daily to the track unless I'm going to a different track then my home track

Keep in mind I just have a slow daily driver, not a 7 second racecar

I was 2 hours from home, not at my home track. but I learned after breaking 2 hours away a couple years ago that having a trailer is a must when you are shooting for anything 9.5 or faster. oddly I've never broken at my home track its always when I'm no where near home . but my home track is horrible for prep, there is more craters and holes in the track than the city streets here.

When I'm competing I go to different tracks all the time, not just OSW which is 1.5 hours away. Bradenton is about 4.5 - 5+ hours depending on traffic.
Anything out of state can be over 1K miles.
Your car doesn't need to be a 7 second car to be considered a race car. Just saying.

Using a trailer makes everything easier except having to store and maintain it. That part sucks.

Storage is over $300 a month for a secure place with 24/7 access.
