Coronavirus latest: Trump requests $2.5 billion for coronavirus response
The White House on 24 February requested up to $2.5 billion to fund the US response to COVID-19. In a letter to Congress, the Office of Management and Budget requested $1.25 billion in new funding and proposed to make up the rest by repurposing funds allocated to other programs, including $535 million assigned to the Ebola response.

Democratic legislators immediately criticised the requested sum as overdue and insufficient. The US government has allocated several times that figure for past outbreak responses: Congress approved about $5.4 billion for the 2014 Ebola outbreak, and in 2009 about $7.7 billion was directed to the H1N1 influenza pandemic response.

Then the Pres holds a news conference and basically says to them; whatever. If you want to belly up for $4B, $8.5B he says fine. No big deal.
Why oh why are they so retarded?

Going thru the airports today, I have to think how utterly misinformed people are. Those cheap masks people are wearing can actually catch the virus in their folds! Nice, when they remove them they will shake the crap all over the place and their hands. The only thing they are preventing, is maybe, maybe touching their own noses and mouths.

My hands are about raw from washing so much. I was at a conference shaking hands yesterday. Loved the one close associate from a big international company yesterday. After she hugged me (yes a lot of the ladies give me hugs and not handshakes) she proclaimed she had a cold and apologized. Damn! Did not need to return to talk to her.

Just read this morning that a woman from Japan tested positive....for the second time.

So now they are worried that the virus can go dormant, and then come back at some point in the future.

Yes. Airborne. Curiously, because it resides in feces, it can technically be spread by farting. Now, the infected person would have to naked and you'd have to have your nose up someone's ass, but technically, that puts a few of the Democratic Candidates for President at risk.

Well that explains it! It is in the shit all over the streets in the large cities in California. Seriously, if that is true that is not good. Some of us know how our shit is treated/disposed of. We could treat the sewage much like water is treated, but we better figure that out quick if true.

My work days are getting pretty inundated with this GD virus. Looks like I have to go and provide my 2 cents on it tomorrow which is a meeting I would like to avoid like the plague... (ehh... ehh... get it?). Got any talking points you like me to bring along? And no... carpet bombing an entire continent isn't a viable option.

If people would stop picking their noses this shit would stop
Stay the fuck out of my personal business.

I was really hoping we could leave carpet bombing on the table.

Don't worry too much about the coronavirus. The virus was made in China, so it will not last long.....

Common epidemiological clues that may signal biological attack[edit]
From most specific to least specific:[76]

  1. Single cause of a certain disease caused by an uncommon agent, with lack of an epidemiological explanation.
  2. Unusual, rare, genetically engineered strain of an agent.
  3. High morbidity and mortality rates in regards to patients with the same or similar symptoms.
  4. Unusual presentation of the disease.
  5. Unusual geographic or seasonal distribution.
  6. Stable endemic disease, but with an unexplained increase in relevance.
  7. Rare transmission (aerosols, food, water).
  8. No illness presented in people who were/are not exposed to "common ventilation systems (have separate closed ventilation systems) when illness is seen in persons in close proximity who have a common ventilation system."
  9. Different and unexplained diseases coexisting in the same patient without any other explanation.
  10. Rare illness that affects a large, disparate population (respiratory disease might suggest the pathogen or agent was inhaled).
  11. Illness is unusual for a certain population or age-group in which it takes presence.
  12. Unusual trends of death and/or illness in animal populations, previous to or accompanying illness in humans.
  13. Many affected reaching out for treatment at the same time.
  14. Similar genetic makeup of agents in affected individuals.
  15. Simultaneous collections of similar illness in non-contiguous areas, domestic, or foreign.
  16. An abundance of cases of unexplained diseases and deaths.
