I am looking to get the Demon intake filter for my Redeye Widebody, but looks like I need a VIN. Anyone know where I can get my hands on one? Thanks.

The redeye and street demon filters are the same. The race demon filter is different.

The race is less restrictive, which means it passes more crap into the motor. I've always been reluctant (for the most part) to run race filters every day.

Even on most K/N aftermarket performance filters (looked at my motorcycle and car) if you hold them up to the sun you can literally see small holes in the cloth media the size of a pin head or bigger. A particle or particles that can pass through that hole can score a wall without a doubt, and with the amount of air an engine moves it's not just one particle. I stopped using them unless it's a total custom setup and I can use no other.

OP, I'm not trying to dissuade you, only saying there are risks or potential problems with anything we do to any car. It's all personal risk tolerance; what is that particular person comfortable with.

Tried to get the filter a few months ago and unless you can show vin number plus vehicle registration you are not getting it. (Race Demon Filter)

Ah ok...Makes sense...I guess the one I saw with the hollow cone is the race filter? Would that make any difference in my car? Thanks.

There was a brief window to get the race filter but that has since been changed. Maybe a parts shortage and the window is back open. Not going to worry about it now.

You happen to still have the part number?

I was just able to order the Demon race filter without entering a VIN, we'll see what shows up I guess.

I also have an extra regular Redeye/Demon filter on the shelf for when I want to clean the one that came with my car or want to swap it on for a car show. By the way, has anyone ever been able to get a concrete answer on whether or not these are washable filters ? These stock filters don't appear to be oiled, do they? I know the blue filters that come with the Mopar cold air kits for the 392s are washable, and come with directions to dunk them in a bucket of soapy water and then a bucket of clean water and then they dry overnight. But those are blue and these factory Redeye filters are red.
