Ok so I’ve been craving a bit more power for my 2018 WB. It’s at stock power level and for mods I currently have a QA1 driveshaft, diff brace, drag radials and LMI. I would like to keep it at stock boost, yes I’m paranoid about grenading my blower or motor. So Barth is pretty close to me and I was thinking about the following. Tell me if this makes sense and if it’s worth it. Maybe one of his flex tunes E85/93 with injectors, tune obviously, trans tune, blower spacer and that’s it. Would this get me 50-60 hp and be safe? Maybe down the road I’d do a full pulley swap but not sure I want that right now. Thanks!

You’ll need a BAP or a fuel pump as well. You’ll see gains from those mods, but if you’re running e85, you’re not going to see the big gains without a pulley.
If you want stock boost; I wouldn’t spend the coin for corn. Just my $.02.
@Phast Hemi went fast with fuel on stock boost, so it’s possible, but a few extra lbs of boost won’t blow the motor.

So what would be a safe pulley system then? The hellraiser 2.85 or I think they make a 3.14 if I’m not mistaken? I don’t track the car just the occasional pulls or rolls when a GTR wants to play :)

I'd do the 2.85 and a pcm/ecm tune. I like Mike from OSTDyno or Curt from Dusterhoff personally. Both are also sponsors of ChallengerFest so there's that.

I think we've identified the risks associated with pulley types and the critical speeds of the rotors to endorse the OP's desire to avoid unnecessary blower wear and tear.

E85 (plus supporting mods) and a tune that respects the stock rev limiter is appropriate... unless you hate your rods too.

Yes it’s very critical to increase the blower speeds for more power 😂😂

Thanks Speedy and love your vids. Tim in less than 80 miles from me so I will probably just use them for all the work.

Just go with the balancer cover that way you don’t have to do all that extra work on the super charger

I believe they call the incognito underdrive cover ( balancer, dampener etc) slips right over it , I’m thinking it’s made by ripatune but I’m sure one of the guys here can tell you

I’d go 2.65 if I was putting $3k into converting to e85, but that’s just me.
If you want to stick with pump gas, spend the $800 on the incognito balancer pulley and get the tune from Barth. You’ll be in about $2k and you’ll be up 100rwhp or so. Get a race gas tune too if you want it.

That sounds like a solid option. The money isn’t an issue, well within reason, it’s more of I plan on keeping this car a while and want longevity. It’s not a daily driver by any means but I’m looking for something that will do the 60-120 at break neck speeds. I don’t want something like speedy had where the motor goes kaput !! No offense speedy.

Speedy was on pump gas, right? He was pushing the car pretty hard. You’re not going to be tracking it very often, and only in the throttle a little bit, your tuner will do whatever he thinks is best for what you’re trying to do.
It’s just for me, going through the trouble of running e85, I’m gonna make that boost! Plenty of guys with a 2.65 or 2.85 who daily on e85, no problem.

Rule of thumb in my opinion; pick a tuner you trust, and make sure he understands your vision and your budget and then listen to your tuner.
