When I had my 2016 HC I had the local Dodge dealer I bought the car from install the 3.09 differential for me. I want to say they charged me around 400 bucks for labor.

Various members have had this done, some even report maintaining their warranty

So how much of a difference did it make...I know you don't track it...but seat of the pants ..did you notice much..and where...is it harder to launch now?

The automatic has either the 2.62 or 3.09 - right? The Manual on the other hand, has just the 3.70 - right?

Oh yes.
With 2.62's and nittos, grip off line was great, wth 3.09's got that tire spin back.

I've seen some good deals on the complete center section with 3.09's. I think the labor to change that would be easier than gear swapping. Not sure about the price difference of the parts.

It almost seems inevitable..

Yea, you don't swap the gears, you do the pumpkin.
Still got my 2.62 from my 16 if someone is interested.

Cool...that seems like the easier and maybe more cost effective way. I can see the dealer charging a buttload for the parts/labor doing it the old school way.

I'd definitely go with a 3.09 diff swap and not a gear swap. I can't imagine your powertrain being affected. I could see them maybe voiding warranty on the diff itself though.

Have the dealership install something like this:
https://mxamotorsports.com/product/mopar-3-09-lsd-rear-differential/

My 2.09's have plenty of grunt on the factory all seasons as it is imo. For any that have done the swap, any noticeable difference in the 60-130 (faster, slower, same acceleration)?
