At the very end, something that threw me is the motor is running on the stand but the throttle body appears fully closed (sealed).

Oh, and start to finish, 210 minutes.

@Magnified - When the engine first cranks up, she goes wide open ~9:30. At idle, the IAC (idle air controller) lets enough air in where you won't see the throttle blade cracked barely at all.
At first I thought it was just the spin-o-meter or whatever they use to check for NVH... but if it's actually running... I'm more surprised that the blower appears to be turning... which means there is enough air going through the TB that it's spinning the rotors in the blower. When the TB closes, the blower stops spinning, but it's still idling.

I need a woman like that... who can help build engines in the garage.

Also, if this is hand assembled, what does it look like when an engine isn't hand assembled?

Different torque rating on intake and exhaust cam phasers?

I was struck by the lady doing the job too, and quite glad its happening. Love of cars and motors doesn't depend on your hardware. lol

Noticed the torque too, but the hotrod crew that filmed, if I remember correctly said that they did not go from start to finish, so supposedly there is a significant amount they did not show. I particularly liked the shot with the plastic crate full of blocks. I'm simple like that.

After watching Leno and that guy in Dallas playing with these, I have to say without a doubt if this was more affordable (i.e. with a deal like I got for the Charger HC) I think I would be in it. Seems really well thought out; especially the little areas that bother me about the HC. However, in my present reduced circumstance, I won't be getting one. Probably like the Charger will have to wait a couple of years before getting one. Then THAT high performance car will be my "last" one. lol

I still say that it is not a factory produced muscle car. It's a hybrid, and will be until Ford produces it off the end of an assembly line with standard mustangs. And the limited production numbers validates the point. A show pony for the brand.

Leno makes the point that it's basicly a super-car (meaning the bespoke construction and such as well as the performance, or at least that's one way it could be taken). And I agree not a muscle car; more all arounder.

So, the Mustang is the Ford version of a Demon, marketing-wise?

Fine, fine.

Next in line is Chevrolet. Come on, Chevy. Produce the 454SS Chevelle again.

The Demon was produced along side the SXT and other FCA platforms. not hand made. at a subcontractor facility.

Nice video - I am always intrigued by all aspects of car manufacturing. I liked to see how it all goes together.
I took a tour of the Ford truck assembly plant (the Rouge?) - it is pretty impressive how they can assemble an F150 in such a short time.

Was that engine running??

Isn't that a good way to burn the exhaust valves?

I watched that again and I'm not sure it was actually running. Sure did look like it was turning over to me at first, but I only saw a few puffs of exhaust - may have just been water vapor and not combustion making it visible.

Mighty Mopar FTW once again, then. Our assembly-line cars are better (to my thinking) than their specially-built little 2 plus 2-halfs-people My Little Pony Cars.

Great video. No hating here. I'm intrigued with all new stuff. '13 and '14 GT500s were also hand assembled with signature of builder and all.
