Not sure if this is a build "per se'" but figured I'd continue here. This is the direction I went on a new engine for Go Man Go. I thought it over for about a week and wanted to KISS. From the time the motor broke at the track to the I was back on the road was right at 15 days total, and I took 6 of those to decide what to do.

Hopefully this is an upgrade and will meet the goals of 10.0 in any weather and a 9 here or there in good air.

Speedy, you are so far over my little head with your knowledge, but I love your vids. Very detailed and precise. I figure if I keep watching I'll learn some things, but fun to watch regardless!

Are you using your HC blower or did you get the RE Blower?

You have a good way of documenting your goals and your endeavors relating to them. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing what tweaks need to be done to put it in your Hellcat. Supercharger? Intake?

Just moving the Hellcat blower over. Keeping 2.72 Hellraiser.

Actually no. The heads were fine as well. In the end I "could" have likely honed cylinder 7, dropped in a new piston, and off to the races. However at the time I ordered the engine, I fully expected block and or head damage. The race shops I spoke with said if there was damage to the block I wouldn't get my core charge. Mopar has a "no fault" core so literally pieces in the box and you're good to go, so I went that route. I wanted to upgrade and this was the most logical path.....now I just have to hope it's strong enough. Seen some RE and Demon engine failures lately.

Great choice Speedy. Out of interest do you know if the 426 Helephant engine has all the trick upgrades of the demon engine.

Seeing that you are sticking with the 2.4 supercharger ... one thing that would be of interest would be the ported blower snout and bigger throttle body combinations that are being offered now. The cost of stepping up to the 2.7 is still high. I’m wondering if that increase in performance might be found with those mods. Good job on the video!

It has significantly different mods than the Demon/Redeye.

What are your thoughts on the torque converter, Speedy?

@Speedy! it was clear I saw the RE engine in the previous video, but you had me wondering what you did in your teaser when I saw the "smaller" HC supercharger on something where we could not see the block or valve cover colors. Good videos, good luck on the new engine!

I've not seen evidence it helps.

Yeah, I am just asking questions based on limited knowledge and novice logic. I was thinking that now you have an "upgraded" engine, maybe you'll hit mechanical limits that a tune won't be able to help.

Looking forward to hearing your findings on the new motor.

I have. Just recently one of the shop cars (Primetime) installed a stroker/cam combination while keeping the stock HC converter. That shop had done a few of these builds but always with a higher stall converter. Whether it “needed” to be done was a guess. Turned out that it did. Whether it was the cam or the increased displacement or both, the stall was changed to where the car was on it at idle. The car was pushing against the brake to the point that it was barely manageable. You have the Demon cam now and that will have some impact on how your HC converter behaves, as the Demon converter has a significantly higher stall. It will be interesting to see what you see.

Had it to the track about 3 weeks ago. Ran 10.42 at 133 on 93 setup in 3600 DA (hot, humid and miserable). Gonna head back now that the weather is improving.

The only thing I have definitely noticed is it pulls a bit harder above 4,000 RPM than the old engine.
