I would consider it w trepidation. Had them screw things up that had nothing at all to do w what was going on w the car, on multiple occasions.

And speaking of screws. I'd put a self tapper into the button so it could be pulled back out. Done, and no dealer visit required.

Make sure your dashcam is working before dropping it off at the dealer.

Wow, didn't know our button returns are rubber! Kind of sucks to know that in a few years the rubber will dry out and they will quit working. A spring would have been great, but I guess rubber is just .005% cheaper.

Life is so much easier when pushing on pedals instead of buttons when driving.

Interesting.... were you pushing it near the edge? Maybe causing it to bind?

More likely is they had enough chemical vapors in the air to act as a lubricant.

CRC makes a lectra motive spray that I use on electrical contacts. Not sure if it's right for your situation.

Back in the day.... Freon 12 was the magic solvent cleaner. I worked at an aircraft company and every once in a while someone would get their suit sprayed with hydraulic fluid. No need for the valuable employee to go home and change, simply go down to the hydraulics lab and rinse the clothing with F12 and it was dry cleaned! :) Those were the days...

The day I got to my squadron, the first task I was given was to clean/service an oil filter, with my hands, in a bucket of the stuff....

You know, like in the old days where you would wash your clothes on a rack...

In the garage where I started working summers at 12, we washed our greasy hands in a bucket of old, dirty leaded gas, then used hand cleanser to get the gas off. :)

The hand "cleanser" was a beige gritty powder, I think it took off the dirty outer skin layers exposing the nice clean layers underneath. :)

It used to be carb cleaner, then CA requirements started forcing the mfr's to change the ingredients and the stuff we buy now is pretty weak. Soon it will be the equvalent of sented hand softener. :(

Just like D-con to kill mice. That shit used to be really potent but now I think they have to eat half a box to kill ‘em.

Yeah... now they are trying to push this citrus oil garbage. Works like chit. Need 75 applications of fruity goodness, to scratch the surface.

But hey... we won't get scurvy.

There's that...

Boraxo!!!

Loved those teardrop shaped dispensers!

You can still get both powder and dispensers.
