HELP!!!....

ok so here we go again kinda. Did mid muffler delete on my 19’ redeye. Was kinda happy with it but not completely. So I then decide I really love the look of dual exhaust so I bought some Akrapovic carbon fiber double tips and look great. So I go to a muffler guy out in deer park New York. The tips are way too long to put on without removing the resonators so I buy some magnaflow mufflers he has in stock(don’t even know what model) totally my fault for not being more thorough but the guy tells me without the resonators it will sound great! A little louder or a little quieter than what I had in the muffler delete. But he said the exhaust note and burble should remain the same. Fast forward 2 months later now. The dual pipes look great!!! Completely satisfied with that, however I’ve been trying to give that magnaflow exhaust a chance to grow on me but no dice. I think the car sounds like a fucking limo. Any advice??? Maybe replace mufflers with Dyno max bullets? Any ideas how to get my aggressive sound back without having to gut the whole thing? As a matter of fact, gutting the whole thing is NOT an option. Suggestions to have a moderately to even a little obnoxiously sounding aggressive exhaust note is what I’m after. What say you all?

ok,,, mine is loud enough. Got the factory black tips that look great with a black car. Any thing else would really piss the neighbors off. They are already pissed I came back after 11 years.

The stock exhaust has a moderately to even a little obnoxiously sounding aggressive exhaust note. It has very, very small cans for mufflers, the resonators have been designed to make it all come together. I like mine better and better every day.

lol what kind of limos you been riding around in? Please post a clip of the exhaust.

For what its worth (different motor/car) I did a lot of custom tuning of my old SC GTO exhaust and found it sounded ideal with the resonator deleted and replaced with an X-pipe and mufflers removed and replaced with racing bullets. Got a large number of inquiries and comments on it. Once in a freaking traffic jam a work van fought through traffic over next to me and the guy put the van in park (we weren't moving and slid over the passenger side wanting to know what had been done to make the car sound like that). It wasn't overwhelming, but it let you know it was there; when you nailed it, it roared.
