Interesting the guy writes for motortrend and uses leak stop in the coolant system.

Always circles back to fresh clean lube, and correct viscosity pumping through the mill.

Hemi Engine Autopsy: 235,000-Mile 5.7L Out of a 2011 Challenger (motortrend.com)

Interesting...
Two things I found most interesting was that the nylon cam chain guide shows no wear (almost unbelievable). And even after the 'shoddy' work on engine, especially the bent cam pin that was obviously forced on there (it wasn't made like that) the car ran fine and went another @170K.
I also get conflicting stories on the 5.7, I hear some had oil squirters and some didn't. If this one did , I guess that would explain the minimal cylinder bore wear.

Broken cam tensioner invokes ugly thoughts of My old CVO Road king, cheap plastic phenolic arm broke and sent the goodies through the whole system. Shut it down got $800 estimate from Mr Milwauke. Jesus the engine is right there to have at it. Sorry that’s the price. No where in factory shop manual, owners manual, TSB did it say check at X mile interval. They new it was bad design and used it for several years. Like I said ugly thoughts. Screw it do it myself. Money saved dealing with the head ache myself got me a Screaming Eagle billet cam chest, with HV oil pump, upgraded cams and new style chain tensioner. Compete ass ache getting bits out of dry sump engine, oil lines, oil pan, etc.
