My Charger is suffering from high IATs at the top end of the track. I've had a legmaker and a heat exchanger installed. The temperature has come down but not enough.
Any advice?

I followed a TRX that had one. He was condensating all over the track. I had to wait while they cleaned it up.

Maybe I'll take the hood off and see if that helps?

Doesn't seem to be any other solution.
The FI Interchiller has a drag only mode that will prevent the AC condensing. He wasn’t doing it right. A properly installed chiller is the way to go but going that route is a lot more money than a icebox. Either way… the goal is to prevent timing from being pulled due to high IAT on the track. They both will accomplish that.

IAT2 gets high but not to the detriment of performance...but IAT1 on the other hand with the legmaker and jokerz blower is just asinine after sitting in the staging lanes for any amount of time.

Contemplating switching intakes to help with this but the car makes such good power with it once it's rolling i didn't want to mess with what works.

Mine will start laying over on the top end depending on outside temperature and conditions.

Leaking on track - not good but a chiller with the lines insulated will not do that.

Mine chills down in the 30's & lowest of 28* & has never leaked on the track.

The humidity in FL. doesn't help either.

I was behind him in the staging lanes and checked out his setup. He was sitting there idling in high heat so I had to check it out.
All of the lines along the radiator support were dripping water like crazy. He said that it was normal.
After I did my burnout they backed me up and was mopping down the track. My car was hot.

Yeah, that sucks when they stop it when your next or close to going.

It can be brutal down here.
We're in the same soup here too, on the coast.

Merry Christmas!! Mid 70s here but the humidity has been high. Usually dries out in January and February.

Here’s something I did to keep intake pipe and TB away from the hot air of the radiator fan, lowered my IAT by 15-20 degrees, the intake pipe and TB stay cool now. I can make them but the insulating material Pyrol is expensive and a bit hard to get ahold of. Snaps in place under the brake lines. I’ve made them for hyd power steering and no hyd power pump Challengers. It's hard for me to tell exactly what you've done there?

Yea, hard to see it installed, it’s a heat shield under the intake pipe from air cleaner box to under the inlet snout behind the pulley. Keeps the hot air from the radiator from blowing directly on the intake tube and underside of the snout. Top side is painted flat black with high heat paint. It’s slick, stays in place and can be pulled out when needed in seconds
