Is there anyone on the forum that works for K&N or has a connection with the company? I'm wondering if there is any talk of producing an air filter ie; (Demon race filter) that will connect to the OE Demon/Redeye airbox?

Now if you can identify the supplier to FCA and see if they sell to the aftermarket...

No surprises. Cotton gauze filters flow better, but paper filters filter better. If you plan to put a lot of miles on a car, air filters are the most important filter on a car. If it’s a fun car that will be sold or traded before high mileage, it won’t matter to you.

From what I have been told, K&N Designed the intake for the Demon and most likely are the OEM supplier of the filters. So I suspect they have an anti competition clause that needs to run out before they will offer a K&N Branded filter.

I have seen posted that if you just try a few of the on line parts warehouses that some will still get you the race filter without proof of Demon Ownership. Maybe most will shut you down but I have seen posted more than once about sucess.

The guys that are trying to buy the Demon filter are usually trying to buy the Demon RACE or Crate filter to get a High Performance filter for their Hellcat or Hellcat RedEye. They all physically interchange.

I am pretty sure the OEM filter for the Hellcats is the same as the Demon Assembly line filter or street filter

I was told by my connection at K&N that the Demon street filter is 4 layers of gauz and the Race filter has 2 layers. The race filter also has a flow director in the end and the street filters do not

I gave the dimensions to Chris at lmi. He is going to play around with a spare demon box he has. He also mentioned the tube being a better upgrade instead of the filter. He may be working on just the tube as a upgrade in the future.
