Michigan Approves Digital License Plates, Third State to OK Them

You order through the State but you deal direct with the manufacturer. Must be a sole source. Manufacturer is named Reviver. Looks like plates take a battery that is also bought through the manufacturer.
Digital plate displays do not display registration expiration. When the registration is expired, an 'invalid' banner will be displayed under the plate characters. ADOT has collaborated with law enforcement on the way digital plates are displayed, and law enforcement is aware that registration expiration dates are not displayed digitally.
