Double feature on the SG channel tonight...

I've gotten asked A LOT about running water/meth injection on the Hellcat. I guess it's because people have seen that I run it on Project SportRunner. Nope, not putting it on the Hellcat....

My brother runs a 1000hp Camaro on 93oct and meth… I can’t break him, I guess he can afford motors and not better fuel.

Does running it out of the windshield wiper tank last awhile?
it wasn’t all that expensive of a kit on sale a few years back to put on my diesel. Especially, if I didn’t buy the extra tank. Never ended up doing it as I am maxed on the trans. One day I’ll put a trans in there that won’t break.

Yeah the washer tank holds about a gallon and it lasts about two tanks of fuel.

This is the kit I ran on my '87 mustang. I went with it mainly because it worked off of boost/vacuum no pump to fail. Picked up 90 hp on the dyno over just 93. Probably talking about my car in the description since they did they tuning. The 2nd dyno run is mine. 650hp in the Hellcat world seems low but keep in mind that car ran low 9's at 150mph. It weighed 3300 lbs

That was done with a Vortech supercharger. Seems not many people are using meth on a rotor style blower for different reason but mainly cause of compressing it where a centrifucal is spinning it

I could have went with e85 but would have had to upgrade the entire fuel system. With the meth it made my fuel system bigger and had to take fuel out

As long as you are out of boost you don't go through any but I checked it often. I never had an issue with it for the 5 years I ran it.

I didn't watch the Video ( Sorry Speedy, at this time I don't modify my own cars ;))

I have a 2010 Challenger that my husband had built for me. A Kenne Bell 3.6, Engine was a 440 Aluminum, and everything else for strength and safety at the time was installed.
(@Prange just and FYI) My husband had it sent out to Mr Norm's garage for modifications and Tuned by Tim Barth.

Tim Barth was the only "Hemi" Top Tuner who used Meth and Water injection and it was for Cooling the rotors of the KBs

There wouldn't be a reason to use water and Meth on the IHI SC and it doesn't really give any extra power. :)
If it did Tim Barth would be the man using it!

Someone just left a comment that it might be the meth seeping through the seals and killing the bearing. Says he works with pumps for a living. I hope that's not what's happening. If one more pump fails in 12 months I'll probably pull the system off the 4Runner.

I looked a meth injection on Orange Krush and Jannetty racing told me to skip it as they failed often. Now I'm beginning to wonder.

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical of the environmental exposure, only because the rest of the motor case interior looked so clean. But your idea of it dripping down was plausible, so I didn't debate it.

We'll know eventually. New pump is sealed and covered.

If the pump head were leaking I'd have expected both sides of the bearing to be rusted. The side that was totally rusted was opposite the pump head where the fluid would be.
