Not me, but more crazy than me! Burnsville, MN today. Friday 1.5’ of snow fell, it is 37 degrees.

Way too old for that...in my younger days sub 40 degree riding was no big deal...now 70 degrees...or I don't leave the garage...

In the early 80's we had Dobermans (brother. sister from the same litter)..when they heard my wife fire up her dirt bike they knew it was time to run...they loved to run..both obedience trained..they were great dogs..loved to perform..loved the bikes..and I never worried about the security of my wife and son when I was away...as long as our dogs were there

It would seem to me that we can up the voltage and/or change a regulator as well as add more battery capacity to that unit.

Larger motor and optimize some gearing.

Slicks instead of those knobbies.

We'll get you into the 10sec club before you know it.
How about the 5 second club. Mount the Redeye Motor to the back.. And a massive wheelie bar.

So it charges while you pedal? Or has a plug too? Cost?
No this bike doesn’t have regenerative braking or pedaling. But it will use some of your energy put into it to help it sometimes like going uphill. The bike was $2500 all in and that includes the extended battery 21ah and a supercharger that’s 250 percent faster than the normal one. The battery is removed by a key from under the seat which it slides out after unlocking and slides back in without the key after the charge is complete.. there is an on/off switch on the battery itself.. than you plug it into the supercharger which goes into a standard wall outlet.. taking it out for like 10-15 miles it’ll take between 2-3 hours to charge. So if you drain the battery I estimate it would take probably 40-50 miles depending on how much pedal assist you use. They claim a top range 50-90 miles but I figured if I got half 90 it would be more than enough for me. Based on how I ride it I’d get 50 miles I’d say and I’m 170lbs. But you don’t really want to ride on low battery either cause that be a bit sketch range anxiety. That’s why I paid the extra 500 for the bigger battery. It’s 2000 for the 15ah battery bike but I figured I’d cough up the extra 500 for peace of mind

Cc, good ones! Never got my finger tired reacting to the bike thread until this morning.

Mag, the Harley has a prime position in my climate controlled “shed”, been there since the day before they cut my shoulder in half in August. It is a ‘93, so I would need to change the jets to run it this cold or it would buck and fart bad, or I would show ya how to ride in cold weather myself tomorrow when we bust 50. PIA for a short ride.

It warms up okay, but I know the mid-50’s are about all she will take, based on cool mornings and evenings from some Black Hills rides of my past. I probably will just spend another $500 this year and get a new Mikuni because it has felt a bit sluggish (I need to ride more) for a couple of years and yes, I have that lazy streak going myself and don’t feel like rebuilding it. I’ll spend hours under that damn Challenger, just cleaning it like I would a custom bike getting ready for a show, but seems like even changing oil on the HD is boring now.

Anything I owned with carbs was jetted years ago alright - as in jettisoned, sold, let go, fired, eliminated, vamoosed, 86‘d, replaced, get your finicky ass outta here. EXCEPT MY DAMN LAWNMOWER. When will they make a fuelie lawnmower for the masses? Lemme guess - never. Skipping it for electric…

My old push mower was electric. And carbs were ok. Didn't relishmaintaining them but then I dont really relish even oil changes anymore. But do not miss the warming up process.
