During my last wash I noticed these discolored spots on my front rotors. I'm getting a shimmy during braking on the highway. I've have z26 pads since I got the car, they have about 35k on them. Debating on going back to the dust machines. 20191008_121603.jpg 20191008_121609.jpg 20191008_121620.jpg

The shimmy at highway (or any speed for that matter) usually means the lug nuts were not torqued with a torque wrench at some point and have been that way for some time.

The marks/spots on your rotors could be the warped rotors slapping at the pads. And no, it's not the Z26s. Many of us are running Z26s with zero issues....

Let us know...

I've tried the Z26 and dumped them...twice! Much happier with the old Brembo dust devils, especially on the track. Try putting them back on and see if anything changes. I just keep a feather style duster in the garage for those quick touch-ups. Currently have some Stop Techs in the garage to try next for street use.

I had NAPA turn my rotors 2 weeks ago because of a pulse when slowing down over 110 mph. No issues since...

Looks like heat spots on the rotor. If there is a shimmy, rotors are probably warped. Warped rotors will cause shimmy/shake during braking - obviously more pronounced at higher speeds.
