I live at about 5500 feet and been trying to eye up my boost gauge at times. I got my car in September which was still warm, and now we're of course into the winter. It seems like I was makng 11 psi when it was warm, 12 psi now when it's cold. Stock boost at sea level is supposed to be 15 psi?

Curious if anyone has feedback or thoughts on this incognito crank pulley modification:

They are saying it can add up to 2 psi or so. It's tempting, whole kit is under $1000.

Sounds about right for 5500ft. Stock boost on a Redeye would be right at 15psi and with your elevation, you're losing a few psi. You need to be careful though about any mods you do that will increase boost because 15psi is really close to safe limits for 91-93 octane and if you increase that boost, when you come off the mountain, your boost may be dangerously high for 93 octane.

We data logged my car stock at Naperville which is at 200ft. The Redeye was making 15psi maxed out at 15.2 I believe.

So going by Mark's info the Incognito pulley should bring you up to 13.5-14.5 depending on air.
This is going purely off memory.
I believe there is a RE getting 17.5 psi with the pulley.
As for the pulley and thoughts on it. Well so far so good. It's a nice piece and comes with everything needed. Now I have to wait till spring to give my driving impressions.

No I haven't. I'm just curious. I plan on trying it out for a bit to see whats up. Also curious about what kind of gains can be made.
It is easily reversible so I can try it for a few weeks and put it back.

Go for it Jim , so this thing just goes over the stock damper pulley & adds 2 psi of boost ? …..what about a tune with it or not ?

FWIW - the only time I’ve seen 11psi in my HC was when it was 30* out... at which point the HP meter was 714hp. She is a 10 pounder all summer. Only trapped 127 on my best MPH pass.

No tune yet. I'm mostly just curious what this will do on my car. The test car has been running similar times to my car runs in similar conditions. So lets say curiousity got the better of me. I like to test stuff. Like taking out the rear seat vs with it installed. The same with skinnies, sway bar. Luckily I get quite a bit of track time and opportunity to try things. Which is why I mention what is done with the car when I run a good number.
This year I will try the pulley for awhile in the spring. Then next year likely get a tune and raise shift points. Then try the pulley again with a tune for it.
Then I might have to go get serious and give some others a hard time. LOL

I was always seeing a max of 10 psi on my car also. In the cold I saw it hit 12 one day and apparently according to my passenger it read 722. LOL.
When I had the blower changed we noticed oil getting by the gaskets. So I had them install the spacers for better sealing. The next weekend in 2000+ da I saw 11psi.
So I was definitely loosing boost before.
