Great article. I grew up driving the 1964 Barracuda with the crazy back winder.

Awesome article. Love all those cars. I grew up driving a 68 Cuda FB with a slightly less crazy back window . Still have it 35 years later. Honestly, I like the old ones better. Love my HC, I really do but all that technology in the cockpit just ain't for me. A radio and temp controls are really all I want. So why did I buy HC? Cool looks and 707HP.

Excellent. Thanks.

Those original 'Cuda's reminded me of something that Studebaker would have built.

Be sure to read the next article down, Rob's Car Movie Review of Bobby Joe and the Outlaw.

September 1969. Ordered a 1970 Challenger R\T Go Mango. 440 six pack with a pistol grip four speed. No power steering or power windows or power brakes. Without these I could only get 3:55 gears so the first mod was 4:10s. Bets time was 12.28 @107 at Keystone Raceway in Pa.
Never beaten on the street. Window sticker was $3966. A monster!

My dad bought a 1970 challenger 383 4 speed green. I'll have to find some pics. He always tells me about a 375 hp 396 chevelle he couldn't beat lol. When I pulled up in my redeye he actually cried when he saw it. I'd always been a Chevrolet guy and didn't tell him I bought my first ever dodge product. Pretty cool moment.

I only gave you a thumbs up 'cause your dad couldn't beat the BBC. I ran them for over thirty years.:ROFLMAO:. Kidding. Seriously that's a great story.

I saw the original "Vanishing Point" movie which starred the 1970 Challenger when I was 15. Been hooked every since.
