I think the idea is to attach them to important items that people seem to loose like keys for example. There has been talk of using them as part of theft recovery for autos however industrious scumbags will always figure a way to make them suit their needs.

This was originally designed to be attached to your key ring, back pack, or whatever you tend to misplace most. I don't dig all this shit bc as with all of it, the service they give you comes with your allowing them permission to see and record everything you do and where you go.
