I'm not sure if I'm getting wheel hop, I don't think I've experienced it or similar on other cars.

Under heavy throttle at fair to high speeds in track mode with traction control off it feels like the wheels are sort bouncing and slipping at the same time, not like full traction loss/spin. It also does it with traction control on but to a lesser extent. Do you get wheel hop at speed under sudden heavy load or does it happen only at launch?

I'm going to go for 12" rears with better rubber (still on rubbish stock tires) and thinking to put Eibach lowering springs and have also been looking at AAD for better alignment.

All thoughts welcome.

First track mode isn’t your best bet for just acceleration. The suspension is very stiff.
best bet is custom. Track transmission, street suspension, and you can leave traction in sport.
AAD drag pack will help for sure. A couple good threads on here.
Better tires for me also helped with wheel hop.

My car would just spin and hit the rev limiter on stock tires in the Redeye like the first 4 gears. Switched to 315/35 Nitto 555R2s. Grips really well now. I have the .309 gears too

I can't believe what a let down the stock tyres are, difficult to get the Nittos over here so will likely go for Michelin, might just pop some on the stock rims, don't think they'll take long to wear out.

So far I think I prefer the sport suspension over the street, it was a bit of a mixed bag of road styles and I was trying the track as haven't used that much. Agree its a lot stiffer and I quite like that, it was when I came off a bend into a long straight when the hop first happened, admittedly I was hammering it :D. At first I left the traction control in street while getting more familiar but it can seem a bit tame now. Think I might end up going the whole 9 yards on AAD as I can't see myself swapping this one for a good few years.

It will and can hop at speed. Cradle bushings plus all the AAD arms to complete the bushing swap back there except for the differential will help most of the hop. Replace the differential bushings if you really want to do about everything,

Yes, the AAD arms can get about any configuration where you want it.

Thank you, got quite a lot of jobs on next week but I'll look into it a bit more. Shipping and duties are always a let down.

Pretty much everything needs to be imported from US although the car itself came from Canada as it often works out cheaper.

Anything with a shipped total over £135 gets import duties applied and since this Brexit nonsense it now applies to stuff from Europe too. My bug bear is that we pay import tax on the item and the shipping cost and then purchase tax on top of all that, so a tax on a tax.

What your describing, " Heavy throttle" "and high speed" I advise extreme caution! The stock tire's hopping as you describe can turn into a disaster in a split second at speed. You state that you had the TC, and SC off. This car is capable of a full smoke light up at high speed. This is very unsettling when this happens. It has caused me to nearly ruin my shorts. LOL Be Careful.!

Well mine won’t hop at high speeds unless you slam the pedal down. That is something I am not capable of since smoothly coming out of corners on the road courses is my practice.
