I believe the d170 isn't going to hurt the value of the 18. People may even see the d170 more as a race car and the 18 as a street car. Either way it is a good poll and I can see people voting for both:)

The way the 170 prices are going the 2018 will only go up is my guess

Just a guess

I said neither because I don't and will never have either one.

At this point I would prefer a 71/72 Demon

I don't like the flares only on the rear. Looks half baked to me.

I'm very intrigued by all the upgrades on the D170 and LOVE that it's flex fuel. If I got one I'd be looking for a way to ditch the rear flares and replace them with something more subtle.

I do think the D170 will hurt 2018 Demon value. This is the one everyone will want and remember in 40 years.

Certainly not impossible, but there are giant holes punched into the sheet metal just above the lip, so if you take off the flair, you have a really ugly situation going on. Someone really talented with a TIG welder or a new section could possibly be grafted in (and more TIG welding).

Poll says looks; I like the way the Demon 1.0 looks better. I like the OG wheels and full flat black hood better.

My problem with the original Demon, is that once it is in its racing environment and you put the skinnies on it, it looks all FAT upfront.

If memory serves me well ( and it doesn t )
So I dug up an old pic
The original sheet metal has the fender lip removed

Yeah, that's what I was getting at... The front is relatively easy, get a new quarter panel, but fixing that mess in the rear is ugly....

Maybe add a baby flare to the front

The wheel/tire combo on the 170 is superior to any skinny on the front of a D1.
The rear-only flare (which I didn’t like initially) actually looks good on the car…

Neither. The flares always looked like an after thought to me.

I agree that the combination will look more balanced with a narrow frontrunner and a big tire on the rear. There will also be the association factor. A car that is accepted as the top will be viewed favorably and whatever may be different about it will become fashionable. The rear only flair will become a symbol of the Pinnacle of performance.

On looks alone, the original.... just think it looks more "complete" to me somehow. Not that I'm particularly in love with the Challenger to begin with though.
