This is not a heavy build as of now. Just starting easy and leaving the engine alone for time being.

The truck is absolutely fantastic, hard to put on a forum page but it’s awesome.

I just had the truck dropped off for paint correction, full PPF on the entire truck, and then ceramic coat over the top.

unfortunately the TRX graphics package had to come off to apply the PPF properly. So I reordered another set.

as of today they just finished the doors and roof to finish it all off. Just letting the edges dry and then reapply all the panels.

As for actual modifications to the truck.

I had ceramic pro window tint 5% on the side windows done.

I ordered the Amp Research XL Powersteps. The rock rails weren’t gonna cut it. My wife loves the truck but it kills her to get in and out with the lift it has. Plus she’s 8 months pregnant so it’s damn near impossible for her. Plus it’s generally easier for me, and I notice when I get out I put a ton of weight on the left side bolster from when I turn and slide out. So the power steps will take my weight off the seat sooner and keep that side of the seat from getting mashed in so quick.

I ordered a glass screen protector for the 12” display. Looks awesome (as in its invisible and cannot notice it) and keeps the scratches off my screen.

ordered a center console organizer. Simple but it keeps everything from flying aroun la when you lift it up.

I ordered a back seat cover for my dog to lay down without messing up my leather.

Added a vertx dead letter bag to the Molle on the back of the passenger seat. So it gives me discreet and quick access to my B&T APC9k pro with Inforce mount and aimpoint acro. It’s already set with a double stack 30 round mag with federal LE +p, 3 extra mags, 2 smoke grenades, karambit, cz sp01 shadow modded with Cajun gun works goodies and 4 extra mags and surefire flashlight. And a blow out kit.

stashed my go bag under the rear passenger seat with a backup Remington 870 tactical and bandolier with extra rounds.

Under rear seat also holds my Tool kit with my basic stuff and electrical gear as well. The floor Storage holds my roadside stuff etc.

as for some more exterior stuff. I wanted to get a nice light setup on my truck.

I never owned an off-road vehicle before, so
I definitely want to tasteful add some stuff to
Go with that theme.

I don’t like super tacky stuff and I don’t want it to look sloppy.

I went with a pretty sick lightbar that I’ve looked at in the past. It’s the Rigid Adapt light bar. I ordered the 50” model. And I will
Mount it to The ram bar on the truck bed. I found some pretty cool mounts from House Tuning. They blend well with the bar and hold everything nice and tight. What’s cool about this light bar is it has a build in GPS sensor, that allows the light to sync with the vehicle speed. So the lightbar will “adapt” to the conditions based on use. For example, the light will slowly turn to a spot light as you accelerate faster and see down the trail. And when you slow down the light will blend into a flood light. Very cool stuff.

after that I am adding 2 rigid SR series diffuser lights in the blackout models to give me some work light in the rear of the truck. This will illuminate the rear area if I’m out working on the rear or rear angles of the truck.

also I decided to add 2 more discreet rigid SL-R spreader series lights to hit the sides of the vehicle at night as well. These lights are unique that they illuminate a 120 degree angle of light. These will be tucked in nice and tight between the two posts of the ram
Bar.

all of the lights will be discreet and match the theme of the truck. And the wires will all be hidden and grommeted cleanly in the ram bar.

I’ve got some pics of the progress. And I got more stuff in store for it, but I’m taking my time through it to keep this thing sexy as hell.

Power steps should definitely be a first mod for truck owners. They’re amazing.
When do we get to see the goodies in the back seat!?!

Phil, your truck is awesome. BTW, how did your gun shoot go? Sorry I couldn't make it. I had two trees come down during Elsa. I noticed that it was raining almost the entire time in the area of your shoot.

Ok got to getting all the lights wired up. Came out super clean.

I have to admit my favorite light so far is the SL-R spreaders. The damn light is 3.75” wide and only 1.14” tall. It puts out 120 degree light spread. And damn. It covers the whole side of the truck. It came out even better than I expected. They are brighter from what I can see over the diffusers but they are in a good spot that they don’t hit your eyes bad. They are high up on the ram bar so they are out of your line of site and decent away from peripheral unless you get right on them. They are solid for overall work lighting on the sides.

now that I know the performance of that light, I’m going to buy 2 more, put the flush mount versions and install them in my rear bumper on the right and left side, they have a backlit halo light in red, so I will wire the backlight to the brake lights and have extra brake lights. And then that will cover the flood for lower section under the tailgate and get the complete area covered in light.

the diffusers for the rear came out really nice, they put out a more subtle light, they don’t smash your eyes if you graze over them, for example if your walking back to your truck from the rear and approaching the tailgate they aren’t blinding even in your peripheral. They put out about a good 60-70’ light out the rear. At the 70’ mark they are starting to lose there full brightness and you need something a little stronger if you want to clearly read a business card off the floor. But for what I got them for which is a work/camp style light for night. I do allot of shooting and sometimes at night, so this will be awesome when I’m setting stuff up and getting things ready or loading back up at the end of the day.

The rigid adapt light is the big mama. I love the rgb backlighting. Red is the preference of course. But the amber looks good to match with the running lights. I am having some issues with the flood and spot, when switching between the 8 different settings. I’m getting some lights that cut out when moving through flood and spot modes. And I have to tuen off the light and restart it to clear it. I’ve been on the phone with rigid to figure it out. Been trouble shooting checkjng all the connections. I have one thing to try before I believe I might have a bad light?? Hopefully it’s just a wiring/voltage issue. They’ve been easy to deal with on the phone.

It all came out awesome and I love the low profile look. Of the rest of the lights, of course the adapt bar is loud and proud but it meshes well with the rest of the truck.

I’ll keep everything updated as I tweak it a little here and there.

ohh and here are pics of the lights on and off.

Here is the side spreaders OFF

here is the side spreaders and the rear diffusers on at the same time. IM STANDING ROUGHLY 30’ AWAY. You can notice some shadowing at around the 11:00 and 1:00 position. I do not have the adapt bar and with it on, it does help close that gap, but it is more dim in that spot regardless as it’s a little bit of a dead spot.

here is me standing about 50-60 ft away, getting near the drop out of the lights full effectiveness

once I get the adapt sorted I’ll render my full opinion and take more shots of it. This is all I could get for now, the camera glare is terrible.

So added a few more touches to the truck.

I installed the AMP XL Powersteps. They are awesome. Makes getting in and out a breeze. Plus they look great.

also added some more lighting to finish off some zones that I was missing.

I added 2 more SR-L Spreader flush mount lights for the rear bumper. It has a red halo light also. So I wired the red halos to work with the brake lights for an extra touch. They came out great.

If you want to see how crazy the rigid adapt 50” light bar is. Check out the spot and flood settings.

With all the lighting on the truck you think you needed the light bar? 😂
looks good! Making it yours and stand out from the rest without going to overboard.

Love it. I wish I had a use for a truck.
i use my truck all the time

I especially enjoy it when shooting long range.

I have a retrax electric bed cover and a bedrug coming so I can start loading the firearms in the bed during my trips out.

Here some friends and family shooting some fun stuff.

here is a pic also of all the gear I take out.
