I can't provide you with data on the stg 2 specifically...since I'm running a stg 4...lol

But what I can tell you is to make sure you select a well known shop if not doing your own labor and make sure they can provide the relevant data to Curt for tuning and he will put that thing so on point it'll blow your mind.

He 110% has his stuff together with these cars. Service is top notch and if it isn't right...he will MAKE it right...through revision or otherwise.

It looks like the Stg 2 is a 2.85 on pump gas with demon injectors.

His stg 4 on flex fuel also runs a 2.85 but with 1200cc injectors and drop in pumps. So actually...give me 5hrs and I probably can evaluate it's performance for you as the car is currently on 100% pump 93.

This is the first time I have ran the car on 100% pump 93 with the 2.85 pulley.

According to curt this combo should yield +100whp or so...and most accounts seem to place a 2.85 with injectors around the 750whp mark plus or minus a few.

I have not logged the car on pump yet but on any ethanol blend I've ran from 40-90% the car had experienced 0 knock. Ever. I anticipate this to be the case as well here but will verify later this week.

I have the optional Trans tuning as well. Some of that will explain certain feedback described below.

The car idles perfect on 93. Cold start is brutal Loud as it always has been...calms down within 60s. Gear changes (P to R to D) are without issue or excessive rpm drop/hunt.

Low angle tip in and off-idle performance is a good bit more aggressive even in eco mode. The car responds much quicker. I'm seeing 15.5 psi on this combo closer to the shifts which appear to be set at 6500 (or earlier to compensate but they occur at 6500 1-2-3-4 so far). Each gear change is assertive, quick & firm but not overly harsh at all. Each gear also holds longer even in eco mode which is welcome.

Full throttle performance is...well...pretty damn nuts. The car never skips a beat and the tach flies by in a blink. Don't bother on factory tires. Just don't. Unless you like doing barrel rolls eventually.

Mileage was clocked at 20.5mpg so far...which is down between 1-2mpg from stock from what I can tell depending on fuel quality and so on. Considering you just added 100whp...that's not a bad trade off at all...and if you're mostly on the flats...I see 22+ as a realistic possibility. My best stock was 24.5mpg @ 67/68mph.

That was a solid review.

That was a solid review.
Sometimes I try.

I've now broken the 2100 mile mark since modified and things seemed to have smoothed out a bit on both E85 (average 80% ethanol) and 93. Transmission shifting has had time to settle in as well.

I have zero complaints so far with regards to the "finished" tunes. I've spent 800+ street miles on full kill and probably 1000 on the 2.85/e85 and 300ish on 2.85/pump gas.

I still haven't collected any pump gas data logs which is the only failure I see in my observations and data collection...but right now E85 is a dollar a gallon cheaper so it's right at break-even to run it for the first time ever...and once you run it...you really do get accustomed to the performance. I'll continue to run 93 on long trips, occasionally to keep things clean and to pickle the car for winter...but E85 really is that much fun.

I'm considering the e85 tune from Curt. My car currently has a 2.85 93 tune via another tuner. Car runs good, but e85 is readily available in my area and well, 100ish more HP on a good tune and 2.75 upper (which I also have with 1200 injectors) seems like a good time. The only thing I lack is the dual fuel pump and the tune/credits. Decisions decisions.

I can tell you that curt from what I’ve heard is the guy for E85 tuning
I have the stage two 2.85 and demon injectors tuned by curt and absolutely love the results I got from him , I’m considering going E85 myself after the race season is over and if so curt will definitely be the guy who tunes it

Curt's E85 stuff is on point for sure.

My car is a damn animal on kill (2.50/E85 only) and when on my 2.85/Flex I don't worry about what fuel is available...if I want the extra power? E85. wanna take off on a long road trip? 93.

Looking like spring before that happens...if we can get back up to a normal workflow.

For what it's worth when I get around to getting my Redeye tuned, Curt will be who I most likely call. I've already priced out the package I want. Just looking for simple mods for now, E85 tune, stock pulley. I'm also waiting for him to get his flex tune ready for Redeye's as well. I'll be doing a remote tune.
