"Don't park it in the garage" is now SOP for car maker corporate lawyers.

Plus they have no repair for the problem. Don't worry about it. It hardly ever happens...

Scotty is my second favorite native Rhode Islander...after James Woods! He's a hoot and certainly quite knowledgeable in addition to being entertaining...pulls ZERO punches...

Oh, and it's been at the dealer for over a week for transmission problems and other recalls.

Maybe it will burn up while it's there & you can go get something else ;)

Might have to lemon law it. Ram doesn't participate in the BBB lemon law process. What does this tell you?

I needed something with pulling power for the enclosed race trailer. 1/2 ton won't do it.

I'm seriously considering an older Land Cruiser or a LX 460 Lexus. Seems like new shit doesn't hold up. I'll just get something old that's built like a tank and will easily run for 300K miles.

When I took the Challenger in for a window switch, they downloaded all of the data from the car without asking.

If it calls for it, they will reflash anything that they want without asking.

You know they're storing and selling our data.

Could you tell if it was a new one or not?

it was a black CJ - not sure of vintage because I don't know my Jeeps too well, and was partially blocked by fire engine - I only caught a quick glimpse. BUT, I almost ran over what looked a piece of timing gear, so I'm wondering if the engine gave up the ghost and maybe blew oil on the exhaust?

Tundra TRD Pro will tow 11k lbs, would think you're not heavier than that ??

It would be edgy. I'm not racing anymore at this point.

So, without watching a 10 minute video, what's the reason for not parking inside?

It could catch on fire, burn down your house and possibly kill you.

I figured as much, but is there a more specific reason for the spontaneous combustion?

I only know about grid heater relays for the diesels and dipstick issues with the small transmissions.
Both of which would be easily prevented.

I don't know. This is the 2nd recall for possibly burning down for this truck. Said everything was good the 1st time. They say that it can catch fire whether it's running or not. Plus no repair is currently available.

Right now it's been in the shop for almost 2 weeks because of the transmission.
