With the 392 coming, I really wanted to like this thing but honestly not impressed for what they cost.

I had the same thoughts. I was planning on and looking forward to ordering one until I saw the pricing. Way to expensive for what you get.

If the 70k price holds true for the 392 Wrangler, I'd rather have a base TRX for just a little bit more.

If they try to charge $70K for it that's nuts.

Wranglers in general are effn ridiculous pricewise for what you actually get. As a used car dealer I'm always absolutely blown away at what dealers pay for them. Even 5-10 years old they bring stupid money at auction, and by then they are nothing but money pits because every Tom Dick n Harry has had them all apart and have modded them beyond the point of reliability. $70k is about $20k more than I'd be willing to pay lol.

I'm not necessarily a "Jeep" person, but my guess is that real Jeep people and highways/80mph aren't in the same Universe.

That being said, real Jeep people probably would never buy a Jeep with a 2.0L turbo either...

2.0L???

Really?

I'm with you, put a 392 in it, stay off of the highway when possible, Rubicon package along with some aftermarket stuff and maybe you've got something.

Except it's a Jeep, I can not fathom paying the sticker for what is still just a Jeep.

Mental block I guess.

I agree have not been impressed with the new era of Jeeps...besides the Trackhawk (y)

Leaning towards a Range Rover for the next daily driver currently. Amazing offroad and apparently can tow the cat.

I don't see how they'll justify $70K+ for one of the 392 versions. A reasonably optioned Rubicon with the V6 is about $50K, so now the 392 is a $20K add on option? Stronger axles and maybe xfer case I get, so add a couple thousand for that and another $1K for the V8 option, then there's prob gas guzzler, but even that won't add up to over $20K premium.

But Jeep folks can be interesting, with their wave and all, and Jeep likely know this. Kinda like Iphone folks that pay a a premium to stand in line to get the first new model.

I don't think the line will be all that long...

All I care is that mine has a VIN and will be in my garage sooner than later to keep my TRX company.

I have no idea. No MSRP as of yet. I suspect with options it will push 80k. Stupid money for sure, but you only go around once!

Maybe but I myself am not interested in going around once in an $80k Wrangler lol. Msrp on the Demons was only $6k more. Just couldnt do it on the Jeep.

How? It's not in production yet. They have not started building customer vehicles, just a bunch of pilot/pre-production stuff. Changes are still being made.

Dealer gave me a VIN on the MSRP contract. On some of the wrangler forums folks are talking about their build and ship dates. That's all I can tell you. Had a Demon, sold that. For me the jeep will be much more useful. But thats just me.

If they charge 70k for it, it doesn’t matter. It will sell like hot cakes. People are buying things like crazy right now. Its a hot market. My company has 3 stores and a massive expo event business. We are all high end luxury retail items. We can’t keep stuff in stock, and whatever price I put on things people pay for it 5 deep. It’s bananas. Until
The economy tanks they can pretty much get exactly what they are asking for anything right now, it doesn’t matter.

Never understood the whole Jeep thing, especially for ppl who don't really do any off-roading.
