I can't believe a dealer would have left tires on the car with flat spots on them, if that's truly the cause of the vibration. Sure, some dealers will try and skimp on the cost, but anyone who test drives a car with flat spotted tires isn't going to like the car. And, if the alignment were just off, this too is something that is fixed in 20 min at the dealership.

So, sort of how I mentioned on that other thread, there seems to be something amiss with this car. The dealer put a new battery in it, but they didn't clear the codes? Very odd.

Yeah I get it which is why I'm going to take a look at it and proceed with caution. I mean I can see them doing a detail and just throwing a battery in it, looking at the tires and seeing they look good, and not checking alignment just to get it make ready for sale assuming it was good because of how low the miles are. It isn't a stretch that someone got lazy because it has so few miles. I'm going to try to take a look at it tomorrow. Maybe they fixed those issues, maybe they didn't. It has been around 2 weeks since that last post about it.

Most dealers even on a front line used car...are not gonna be that thorough..they usually only address things you bring to their attention..

That's my thinking on it. I worked for a large volume Ford dealer once upon a time. The make ready for used cars was to make it pretty and make sure it was safe and obvious issues were taken care of like bald tires. Half the time they'd just put them on the auction lot of they didn't think it was worth the time and effort.

Some red flags on the Carfax.

It wasn't titled until 2018 so it most likely sat on the dealer lot for almost 2 years. So unless it was showcased in the showroom for that long, it most likely sat outdoors?

361 miles when first serviced in Jan 2018 (still under dealer ownership), and probably hard test pilot miles.

There's a good chance of that for sure. But you run into that kind of potential issue with any of these cars when you buy used. You buy a low mileage 2018 with say 3k miles. You don't know if they were babied or done 1/4 mile at a time.

Back in 2016..HC's were still rather hard to get..(2015 oversold)..I find it difficult to believe that a torred M6..languished on a lot accruing 300 plus miles of test rides without somebody saying I'll take it...people were still paying ADM's..and most dealers were not fond of 300 mile test drive HC"s...It seems more like this became the owners toy..(or another family member)...and that would account for the 300 plus miles..just a wild guess...but I've never seen any new car with that many test miles...much less a HC..

That car is used. Previous owner put the 300 miles on it. Never broke it in. It was either done 1/4 mi at a time or it sat in 1 spot.

Occam's Razor....

Codes are most likely from a dead battery and alignment shimmy at 50 is flat spot tires from sitting. Think we are over-thinking this one. Swap tires, get alignment and I bet it's literally like new.

Honestly that's what I'm thinking. It probably got jump started to drive it in causing the high voltage code. The others likely came about from the battery being dead and it hasn't been driven enough to clear them yet. Sadly I didn't get a chance to take a look at it today. My days off of work got moved around, had to take a dog to the vet, and then had my front end web development class. Hopefully tomorrow, if nothing else probably later in the week.

Well, I finally got a chance to look at it. There is no vibration or pull on it that I could feel clear up to 65mph. Tires are about a year old and no codes popping up on the code reader. They said they'd also remove the Hellcat decals on the side and detail it. Considering the clientele this dealership normally has I believe that last part. Now to work out the numbers.

They're asking $51,995, but I'm trying to work a deal to under $50k at the moment. They seem receptive so we will see what they say.

Just make sure you get the details of the warranty. Might be 84 months since the car went into service, which would give you ~2ish years left.

Still probably a good deal but I've seen people upset afterwards because they didn't understand the warranty.
