Sounds like the Vipers same problem. I have wanted a Viper for the past 25 years and yeh never picked one up. Came close in 2005 picking a convertible up and the dealership no lie let me take for the afternoon. And about an hour in I am like get me out of this thing😳. Than back in 2016 I came close to picking up a hard top GTS and damn that car was just bad ass looking. The dealer had three with different colors and I liked the Green one. Took her down the road and just the same damn thing its just to much a race car and sure I get that but I have owned many Corvettes and they are just so much more practical. So yep no Vipers and wish I could have gotten more excited but I drive 150-200 miles every Time I jump n a vehicle. And the Vipers would jut not work out for me unfortunately. Here‘s some pics of some of my Vettes.

I drove my dd ‘04 CTD with 249k to the landscape yard twice today as it’s mulch season here in NY. 4 yds. done today, 2 last weekend, and probably another 4 yds. next week should do it for this season. Damn I’m beat! Time for a few beers...

ETA:Said beer...I like Bourbon, and I like beer. What could be better?

And now for a nice IPA before going out to dinner...

Just got caught up on 7 pages… nice rides.
@Whatknot - I worked on a farm for almost 20 years, and we had about 20 clydes, 5 Belgians, and a couple quarter horses. They were all great. Reading your stories reminds me of working them in the fields and on the road. We ran a carriage company, so I was driving horses for weddings, and events, all over the place. My horse, Mark, was a monster like yours, one of the biggest in the state at 19 hands and 2200lbs.
Since this thread started I sold my Ford dually, 42’ toy hauler, and gave up the Hellcat… and now I drive a beater on occasion to Home Depot and back.
I usually have many many pictures of my vehicles, but this one is just a mode of transportation for me. It has the TT 3.5 Eco and I put a 5 Star tune on it. Raced a 392 Durango the other day and he dragged my ass.

Also, been riding my Cub Cadet lawn tractor since 1999… mowing in the summer and snow blowing in the winter. That one is on the left side of the random speaker pic… she is in snow mode there.

And then just for shits, an old pic of my TT225 dirt bike, MAX 6x6, and 1984 Trans Am.
My big boys are so calm, my Clyde, and my Walker. I let my 4 year old girl lead them around they are so chill. My other horses, no way I would let her lead them alone. Had all 6 of my horses loose this morning, just following me while I walked, picking my girl up and put her on my shoulders. My Mare Walker is pretty calm, and she likely would not run over my daughter, but the 3 young Clydes, are still a bit rambunctious at times, especially my 1 year old filly Clyde, she doesn't try to be mean, just gets messing around playing and then gets carried away, has actually run into me hard enough to knock me down. Once a Clyde matures by around age 5 or so, they are Bomb proof on the trail, and very gentle. Massive, but gentle. If I want him to back up to hook the log up, all i have to do is look at him, point backwards with my finger, and gently whistle. If I keep pointing and whistling he will keep backing up, I stop, he stops. In fact he is so sure of himself, and unshakeable, i can drive my quad or the skidder right up to him, stop just 2 feet away from running into him, and he calmly stands there. When walking toward him, if he sees me carrying his pulling harness, he runs right at me, stops just a few feet short of mowing me down, and stands there head down while i put the big pull ring over his head, then lifts his head up and waits for me to finishing rigging. He LOVES to pull, and is so happy to drag logs, or whatever. Had to replace my deep well pump a few months ago, I built a tripod, put a pulley on it, tied 4 ropes together and then tied them to him. Had him walk to pull it up, then just stand there for probably a good 45 minutes while hooking up the new pump to everything, then walk backwards 360' to lower it, then just stand while i attached the pump at that depth. Since he really couldn't feel that pump, I knew that didn't really satisfy his desire to work. So i took him down into the woods, dropped a dozen trees, and Skidded them a good long way, so he felt like he had done something. If I work him hard enough, while undoing his rigging he licks my hands and arms, then puts his head on my shoulder as if to say thanks. He loves feeling useful and to work. Got my quad stuck last spring, tried using the wife's 4x4 quad with winch to pull it out, no way. So I walked him down, tied a rope to both, and he pulled out that stuck in bog quad like it weighed 3 lbs and wasn't stuck. The power is immense, can't describe it, but if you folks ever come to visit, and want to see him, just ask. Not hard to put his harness on, and show you how effortlessly he pulls a large load.

well that was interesting....... :unsure::unsure:

on a side note......I've given up boiling water, etc to make pasta. All you're really trying to do is get the dried pasta to absorb some water, so I have started putting the pasta in a pot of hot tap water about 45 minutes or so before I want to eat. The pasta will soak up the water and get soft just sitting there. When I start to heat up the sauce, I turn the burner on for the pasta and get it heated up, Saves the step of boiling water and then cooking the pasta and cuts down on the heat in the kitchen, esp if you have the a/c on. Typically by the time I have the sauce heated up, the pasta is good and hot.

You don't want to put the pasta in the water too early before you're gonna eat because it will get too soggy if you leave it soak too long. I'm finding that about 45 minutes is about right.

We had some young guys, but most of the horses on the farm were 10+ and well broken in. We’d get them from the Amish, so they followed those commands -
Step Up, among other things got them moving.
Gee/Haw - left right
Ho - stop
Back - back up

To your point, they loved to work and once I did a lap or 2 with them, I didn’t even have to give them commands anymore, they drove themselves. The heaviest stuff we pulled with them were hay wagons full of people.

Drove the Hellcat to the store to get Teresa some flowers. I get her flowers when she is serving our country in the National Guard every month

I have several heavy duty test tracks where you can push that SOB to its limits. And I don't charge to use them. Full safety equipment on the track too, and professional timing gear.

How do you Keep a mower so clean?

Mine looked like hell the 1st use.
When I first bought it I took it for:

Paint correction....

PPF across the front of the mower deck....then...

Ceramic coating on all the painted surfaces

I don't use it in the rain

Use a foam cannon to wash it

and....

it's garage kept

:p

Today i mowed with a JD1025, flew an Airbus H145, drove a John Deere 648 skidder, rode a Tennessee Walker, and hauled feed around on the wifes Honda Rancher. It was a good day, and feel that was plenty of stuff to ride, drive, and fly.
