Tried pulling a movie off my PC to a thumb drive to watch a movie. Did not recognize the format. What format is the infotainment system expecting?

Not a movie.

It's looking for audio, only.

I know the feeling so well being I purchased a new Explorer 2020 model and had the rear entertainment which I did not even want. But yeah got her since it was one of the first ones in and liked the color and package. There is some way to get thru this being I looked into what your trying to do and cant remember exactly now being close to 2 years ago. But do some online research and once again my memory cant connect the dots right now but swore there was something you could buy to interface the USB with the audio technology. And yeh I traded her back in for a different vehicle so I never pursued what your trying to do. Good luck.

You can tap into the backup camera and aux audio input, behind the radio, to add a video device.

You'll need some wire, a switch and a player, of some sort.

You can run a pigtail, to the video source, or install a usb jack, discretely.

Aux Audio:

Pin 6 +
Pin 7 -

Video Signal:

Pin 31: +
Pin 32: -
