I knew about the Ford tunnel ports, but Pontiac’s version is news to me. They’d probably work great with forced induction.

The RAM AIR 5 was a true monster motor. it was too much for production cars of the time. power numbers would have crushed the Hemi. And by the time it showed up things were already cooling down for the muscle era. 614 HP, 548 trq @ 7200 rpm And 730 hp 633 trq @6800 rpm in race form.

Reminds me of the 1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 I had. Ram Air hood.
Loved that car, had it for 23 years. I restored the whole car. Didn't have a lot of power but it looked good.

You just missed the RA's, HO's and the SD's. Great cars.

I transported one of the original GTO's, from the west side of Detroit, to the east side...for Milt Schornack. He was one of the great Pontiac GURUs. We had the heads at my old friend's engine shop, and they went over to Modern Cylinder Head. Crazy looking things, and part of the factory racing program. It's too bad they didn't have decent parts in their pedestrian muscle-cars.SD= forged parts....LOL
