I have searched this extensively and the only thing I can find is the hood and 707 hp/717 hp due to the hood.
And the fat body option.
I prefer the older hood and the 5 spoke wheels which leads me to a 17.
Lot's of good deals right now.
Any input?

The SRT pages display differently in the 18 vs the 17.
In my 19 Scat I almost never use that stuff.
About the only stuff I use is the double tap on the SRT button and the custom setting.
So, I am thinking this 17 might work other than it has a sunroof .
I powerbrake the burnout box and the launch.
The 17 I am looking at is a narrow body and I'm thinking with mudflaps all my drag wheels and tires should work on this car also.

I'd love to see a complete year-to-year comprehensive list of all changes in the car and changes in available options for these cars. I've heard stuff like driveshafts, halfshafts, blower internals, etc. I heard that 17s and up take three taps of the SRT button to go to Custom, vs 2 taps for 15-16s. There's probably all kinds of stuff that could be listed.

My 18WB only takes 2 taps to get to custom..I believe the computer(PCM) was locked starting in 18 as well.

your spot on about the older hoods...I've tried since their release...but sorry not a 2 scoop fan
I agree , can't seem to get use to the dual scoop , even if it is a little more HP, don't think it makes that much difference anyway.
I like my 17 & the 5 spoke wheels better & liter than the sling shot style wheels , it's just personal preference.

The PCM was locked starting on the 15's.

My 17 is 2 taps to go to custom mode.

Odd. Directions state triple.

Sometimes you just have to unload completely on it!

I wish the 18 had line lock and cool down that is embedded in the 19.

For me , the line lock has been problematic(or I am just too stupid to make it work when it needs to) so I am not to spun up about that.
I did not have skinnies last season so I would drive around the burnout box and back into it.
Power braking the burnout box and launch turned out to be the most consistent methods for me.
