In Search of 200

I ran the RE again in Sept, best was 202.316. Set several new records, After a good run I changed class and eventually ran in 4 different classes that day plus the one I ran in June. I figure I now have 14 records at this track, but I'm still waiting for them to post the results...

I wonder what speed it would get if you had another 1/2 mile? The unmodified 2015 Charger in the original Motor Trend factory road test (Titled “The Devil Made Them Do It” in 2014 went 206 mph in one direction and 202 mph in the opposite direction. I think it was a 2 mile oval track? They then advertised it had a top speed of 204 mph.

I don't know about the prototype cars but all the normal production cars have a speed limiter set at about 203. My speedo hit 202 so the tires tricked the PCU a bit. One guy did 207 at KSC in an orig Demon using the race PCU which apparently is not speed limited. He had to put some funky wheels/tires on the back.

In my case, the car lost power about 1sec before the 1.5mi, I had to have been over 205.
