I bought a GoPro FUSION at a smoking deal today at Best Buy. Was doing some testing and have two videos that I think are pretty cool. One little rip around the neighborhood and another at night testing low light. Thorougly impressed and at 4k on my tv this looks gorgeous.

Test 1: Quick little trip around the block.

Test 2: At night, just cruising around.

If anyone has any experience with camera placement please give me ideas Was thinking on the hood or maybe roof

Cool video, and as a test, you can be forgiven for the placement, but if that was a real video, you'd be fired for the location.

I've not run this type of camera before, but I'm betting right above your head on top of the roof.

The perfect place would be where the Sharkfin is, that being said, while it will have a dead spot, either side of the Sharkfin, depending on which lane you're in.

Then you'll have a ~300deg sweep including all of the important stuff, front to rear and your competitor.

Make sure you have a top notch mount.

Nothing sucks worse than shutting down a track so the crew can go pick up camera pieces.

I've been the next race TWICE now while that happened.

I am using the GoPro suction mount. It’s legit. Been used on cars that go way faster than me. Built a steel cable safety tie. The first picture is this mount in the trunk. Yeah mounting location is key. Experimentation is a must.

I'd almost rather the camera fly off the car than be tethered. Might do more damage to paint than the camera is worth. Cool 360 stuff, I need to look into one

I agree, going to have to study other people's tethers. I'm all about the motor/trans, the paint is imperfect already so I'm kinda over it. Took some measurements of the rear fin and am looking at 3d printing maybe a clamp.

Pretty dang cool. Looking forward to some track and strip action :)
It's on deck... Waiting for MIR or Cecil to open. Beyond angry at Cecil county politicians because of what they did this weekend.
