Well the day has come, decided to part ways with my cat. Trans failure on Sunday was the final straw in my debate of my future with my cat. Soooooo, listing here as a start as I do not want to return it to stock and undo all the efforts over the years to get it to where it is but my life has changed and the cats luster has gone from me. During a 3rd gear pull Sunday 9310 Tranzilla trans decided to say goodbye right about 5800 rpm. Luckily was close to home and 4th gear still couples when this happens and got her home. Replacement trans has doubled in price since buying this one in Sept 21 just a bit over 4,000 miles ago and since changing trans is 1/2 the battle in going back to stock now is the time to make the decision what to do. I can make the car into what ever an interested buyer is wanting, back to stock or as is with trans of choice, selling price based on what choice is made. She is clean clean clean inside and out and underneath, impeccably cares for in her just over 23,000 miles on the odometer. Right now making about 1050 to the tire with a ported 2.7 IHI Supercharger. Many many upgrades, will list them shortly but had a few minutes to get this started. It comes with GREAT pain to begin this. Price back as stock 50k, price as is with broken trans 55k, you buy trans of your choice I’ll install it or 56k with original trans installed but at 1000+ at the tire I do not recommend such. I have original trans and all original parts removed at 7,300 miles when I bought the car as I started modding soon after I got so they are cherry parts yet. The car has only been caught in the rain twice, never seen salt or winter roads, underbelly wiped down with WD40 2-3 times per year, she’s cleaner then most 1 year old cats.

Fix it and keep it! A manual with 1000+ at the wheels is a parts-breaking factory anyway...wont the tranny manufacturer honor their product at all?

Good luck either way Mike, you will definitely be missed.

This is second Tranzilla I’ve had in the car. First one was a 2.98 ratio 4130 gear material trans, it broke on a 2-3 shift not far from where it broke this time on a third gear pull. This transmission was a 9310 material transit that RSG told me would be unbreakable at my horsepower level. It lasted four years and 4000 miles. I’ve contacted them, but I don’t think they’re going to do much as far as discounting a repair or definitely not repairing it under any type of warranty condition for sure. I have been contemplating selling the car for probably a year now because life turns have just taken away the time I had to enjoy it and I’m needed elsewhere with family of late. So at this junction in the road has now forced me into a decision of what to do. I will be removing the transmission and taking it to RSG as they’re only about two hours from me and seeing what they have to say about it once they pull it apart. I will be mentioning to the man in charge there because I’ve known him for many years now that I have been very influential on getting him business and will post how I was treated with this transmission that I was told I could not break. Anyways, here’s a screenshot of the log where the transmission went loose. It could be seen at the top where it gained RPM quick that’s right where the transmission let loose. I just did 260 to 130 pools prior to that happening and ran a Camaro and kicked his ass across the bridge and was testing to see how asphalt traction was because I had just made some suspension adjustments that morning and I wanted to test how they were. It definitely gained attraction from my Rear wheel alignment adjustment, but unfortunately ruined my day on my way home to put the car away. Been consistently running 5.75 to 6.0 60 to 130 times and it’s current set up. It pains me to think about putting this chapter of my life behind me, but I’m at the crossroad at the moment. I have many many many spare parts around for this car two superchargers want a brand new demon one brand new set of demon heads in a box a full set of interior leathers all the parts that were taken off of it , 2 HMI’s , 1 a 2017 unit with CarPlay, spare original PCM, two NIB differentials actually Three one used two brand new 373 and a 390 and probably a lot of stuff I’m forgetting about if someone flush with cash wanted to step into my place 65K would take it all, that’s one hell of a deal, someone could probably gain back 20 K in parts alone if they sold off just the parts in boxes.

Pains me to see this, but I understand. Good luck with the sale, maybe they’ll treat you well with the transmission and you’ll change your mind

Sad to see, I understand your frustration and know life can bring you changes that you don't exactly plan on sometimes. Good luck!

Man that stinks, but building 1000HP manual trans cars that don't break stuff isn't easy. It's one of the reasons I went to an automatic when I got the Hellcat and never looked back, but do miss rowing the gears on the highway sometimes. My built M6 R/T was a blast on the street but a huge PITA at the drag strip.

If you're just done with these, I get it. With all the Stellantis crap, everyone losing interest, no cool cars being made anymore, etc those thoughts creep up on me at times too. Get out and move on to something else. Even Jim Wilder has talked about selling his Demon 170 Vin 002.

Otherwise, I'd turn it down a bit and just enjoy it as a cool street cruiser once repaired.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I shredded the teeth off 2nd gear in my m6. Had it replaced under warranty and then A8 swapped it

Damn Mike. That really sucks! You've put so much time and effort into your car. We have all benefitted from the knowledge you shared with us. GLWS but hoping something changes and you decide to keep her!
