First time post. Awesome forum!!!

Need some help !!! Purchased a 2020 Trackhawk in Feb of this year. It currently has about 6k miles on it. Purchased it with 4 miles on it. In July service engine code popped P050B. Took it to the dealership, they said they re-flashed and cleared the code. About 2 weeks later, same code. Second time at the dealership. Dealership states that they checked the battery and it had low voltage so they replaced the battery. About 2 weeks later, code returns. Third time at the dealership. Dealership states that they checked fuel and performed an electrostatic discharge. Fuel checked good. About 2 weeks later, same code. Notified the dealership and needless to say, very upset at this point. Took it in for a fourth time and dealership opened a star case. Whatever that is. FCA recommended replace the PCM. PCM was placed on order and installed about 10 days later. 3 miles down the road and light pops on. A different code. Something to do with brake sensor calibration. Left overnight again and they state that they tested the PCM and everything checked good. Drove the trackhawk these last 10 days. Everything was perfect until Sunday morning. Raised the garage door, started the TH, pulled out of the garage, I hear a chime, looked at the instrument cluster and there it is. Scroll to the diagnostic code screen and right in the face --P 0 5 0 B !!!!!! Was freaking pissed. Parked it back in the garage. Dropped of the TH at the dealership this morning and stated that they needed to speak with the FCA advisor. I mentioned throttle body issues with Hellcat challengers and chargers. This is so much BS that anyone has to deal with this. Paid a pretty penny for a performance vehicle and cannot drive it like it is supposed to be driven. Since July, every time the service light came on the TH stayed in the garage. I didn't pay for the TH to stay parked.

Has anyone experienced this issue (P050B)? Issue with dealership not knowing how the hell to fix codes? I even looked up dang lemon law for Texas. What do you guys think and recommend?

Welcome and Semper Fi Jarhead.

Aside from the code popping up, are you getting full power or do you get the sense that you're down on power and/or in limp mode?

(Where I'm headed with this is that if they're chasing Gremlins, maybe just drive it as normal while they're doing their thing with FCA/SRT/Star?)

I have a feeling that it is not running at full power. Noticed start idle was a little rough, very slight. Well, the advice dealership gave me was to bring it in. Running it just didn’t feel right. Especially when there is a bright orange light in your face.

Right, if there is something actually apparently wrong, then do not run it as I suggested, my thinking was only if there was no apparent indication of a failure AND that they had already looked at it several times.

What was the original code description again? Or did they not give you that?

Are you able to poke around yourself and look for obvious physical conditions of engine components?

i.e, wire harnesses, sensor connectors, holes in boots, clamps, etc?

Maybe something came apart in shipping after factory acceptance?

Damn rats chewing on your wires, etc?

I have looked under the hood. It’s clean and looks brand new. Has 6k miles on it. It is well taken care of and garage kept. I haven’t noticed anything out of the norm. What I have notice is that for some reason every time I toppped off the tank. A couple days later, BAM, light came on.

Check all the vacuum lines as well, could be causing rich mixture call as vacuum will lean it out. Computer can only change it within set limits, overly lean WILL cause knock sensors to go crazy.

TH still at dealership. They have not heard anything back from Chrysler and the open star case. The case has been open since the beginning of the month. Advisor stated that they have 2 reps working on it and was supposed to call them yesterday. This is so much BS.

Good evening. Status - trackhawk has been at the dealership since 7th of Oct. I contacted Chrysler customer service and had the star claim. I was contacted by a level 3 specialist. I discussed with the rep that I needed the TH fixed or needed to have it bought back. We did speak of a buyback and lemon law. Last week - Was not contacted by the dealership the entire week. I checked the status of the TH via Uconnect. I notice that the fuel percentage was down and the looked at the mileage. The mileage increased by 140 miles. I immediately called the service advisor. I asked where my vehicle was and he stated here on the lot
That the battery had low voltage and has to start over on the troubleshooting. I then stated where is my vehicle physically located. He said here on the lot then I dropped the bomb on him. I stared that I know my TH has been driven for 140 miles and I didn’t authorize it. The service advisor was quiet. I asked why was my vehicle driven? The last 50 miles were driven with 20% of the fuel wasted. This to me means that the TH was driven hard. Then he says maybe the service manager had to drive it to consume fuel and I said bullshit. If that was the case then why was the Tank` not emptied or purged? I told his that this was total bull sh*t. The service advisor stated that he would have the service manger call me. This was last Thursday. The service manger has yet to call me. This is so wrong. I called Chrysler customer service and asked them to look into it. They inputted the request in their notes. What can a customer do if a dealership drive 140 miles without authorization?
