2026 Charger Drag Pak V8 is a sign of things to return. I don't think we would see a Challenger come back since D170 was the "Last Call" for that model line. However, an SRT Charger High Output (HO) with 91/E85 would make sense as the next Dodge Halo car.

There's also a sweet spot for the 392 Hemi to return between the $49k - $54k of the Standard Output and High Output Hurricanes.

The High Output Hurricane performance #'s will entice, especially with an aftermarket tune. However, I would opt for the V8 reliability vs. High Output Hurricane (reference the Grand Wagoneer and RHO thermostat problems).

If the door opens to the 6.2L w/ 3.0L as mainstream, there is always room to grow with A30 and A170 Hellephant 426.

Return of the 426 Hemi is exactly what SRT needs to get Dodge their balls back.

Agreed. The car is,(at best), a dud.

Charger was designed to be electric. Anything else is an afterthought in that platform and will never be optimized for ICE.

Two questions:

DOT approved? (I wouldn't guess so...)

How many important body parts do I have to sell in order to be able to buy one?

Where would I drive it? In my case, I guess I could go to HPR with it... But damn, that would be an expensive track day.

Actually they are about 350lbs lighter than the Hellcat. An inline six with a cast aluminum alloy block and one bank of cylinders is a lot lighter than an iron block with two banks of cylinders including a supercharger, plumbing and coolers.

As far as I can tell with what he wrote he is confusing the weights by using the old platform with the V8’s and the new platform with the Hurricane.

A -29% drop in sales (57,728 fewer vehicles) between 2023/2024 is what Dodge needs to recoup.
Supercharged V8 on the STLA well before 2030.
