Sure, as I saw THREE speed traps during my 20 minute drive to work this morning. They are recognizing the problem of not collecting sales tax now because the communist/socialist state king we call Governor has not allowed business here to work since March. So now they are penalizing us folks who work and ARE paying taxes FOR MORE contributions.

Good for You Gatz, go enjoy that car for what it was intended for. We all work hard for the kind of cars we drive. Treat us good and we will return again and again. Way cool that they took the whole deal off and replaced as a unit assembly. I hope the unit goes back to the engineering dept for evaluation to improve on what needs addressing. This is an opportunity not a head ache for FCA.

Wouldn’t it be nice if that blower lid was supposed to be black and the wrong bare aluminum cover was bolted on with all the extra special internal goodies/housing were in place, heck it doesn’t hurt to fantasize.

Final report. Picked it up, confirmed 14 psi came on (that was the highest I saw the original one produce), it is purring and the distinct whine from those spinners is back!

Coolant mystery remains. I drove it for about 10-15 miles, some of those miles were like I stole it in Track Mode, but got here, opened the hood and nothing abnormal. All is good, thanks Dodge, this was a good dealer story.

That's great to hear. It's always nice when warranty work goes as hoped.

I am curious to see if this one holds up any better than the last one. One way clutches(I'd guess it's a simple sprag) aren't really known for their ability to lock and unlock repeatedly like the situation yours finds itself in when you're at the track. Fingers crossed that I'm overthinking things and you just happened to get a faulty one.

I hope so. I probably won't try the short type track again. It had several sessions at BIR last year without a problem. It has the potential for two Road America and two BIR's in June, so we shall soon see what happens.

I believe that Litens calls it a decoupler pulley.

Cant wait to see the videos. June right around the corner , hard to believe.
Put the hot rod wheels and rubber on it. It screams again. The Michelins are more smooth and quiet than all the rest, even the big meats.
