I certainly agree, giving a high-dollar car a smack down is a lot of fun, but to consider the owner to be a D-bag just because I don’t care for the junk they’re driving to be my cup of tea is pretty shallow. I try to wait until the driver proves he’s an Asshat, like this particular D-bag. Otherwise, there’s an almost limitless supply of good people that happen to have a lot more money than me. If I judged everyone that had more money than me to be a jerk, I wouldn’t like anyone. As is usually the case, someone is always faster (most often a Hellcat!) and has more money.
I thought about my post here and I stand by my previous statement that I don’t generally think of someone as a D-bag because they drive an expensive car. Made a lot of money? More power to ya! However, maybe I am a little less than open-minded when it comes to one vehicle on the road...Prius drivers. Do those D-bags always have to be in the inside lane saving the world by going 5 MPH under the speed limit? Or pull away from each traffic light like there’s an invisible trailer weighing 50,000 pounds behind them? D-bags!!!!!
Ok, ok, so I’m not so open minded. Nobody’s perfect.

He’s not a dbag for driving a 7 series... he is a dbag for losing and calling the other guys car a POS.

and LOL at the reactions to the boyfriend line, they feel the same way!

This thread man, hahaha! I was about to make a similiar thread from my encounters with BMW's. Idk what the 750i owner was thinking when our cars can take down an M5/M6.

I had a similar encounter with a 335i with "M3" badges and Porsche style exhaust tips a few weeks back. Made his girlfriend drop her phone and cover her ears. Sucks when you pay a premium for your German engineering and a rental car with a supercharger takes you down before hitting 2nd gear.

If I were to engage in a ride to Mexico, I would most likely give thumbs up regardless of car or person, win loose or draw. But if I knew it was the kind of person OP encountered I most certainly wouldn’t but obviously he didn’t have a crystal ball other than a statistical fact that a percentage of the BMW Drivers have the lack of endowment factor at play. A “small“ gesture like holding your thumb and index finger roughly 1inch apart directed towards sore looser settles it trust me it does work.

Damned Prius drivers for sure. They literally drive me nuts. Oh and Subaru wagon drivers. You can garr-un-effn-tee that theyre on their way to the Toyota dealer to trade them in for a Prius. Same earthy crunchy driver, same ridiculous amplified slow driving.
And yeah ive never met a BMW owner that I didnt leave thinking, “what a Dbag”, sorry. Something about that emblem must attract them.

A few weeks back, I ran a BMW M5 competition. From a 20mph roll we were dead even until I let out. The car still had dealer tags on it. After we stopped at the light, we complemented each other on our cars, and parted ways. Dude said my supercharger was loud as hell though during the run 😆. So I guess not all BMW drivers are DBs

I’ve never encountered a newer one but from what I’ve seen and read they are way under rated on the 600 advertised hp, seen dyno runs on utube and they are putting down around 630 to the wheel

Coming home from work just now had some middle aged stock broker looking dude run up on me on the tollway in a newer 750i. Needless to say I beat him like a rented mule lol after slowing down he pulled along side and gave me a thumbs down. Rolled down his window and yelled out my car is still a piece of shit. sore loser 😂[/QUOTEHaha. That’s funny.
lmao. That’s great. I ripped past this dude one time on a 2 lane road and pulled in the auto parts store.. this was back when I had the 392. So I’m in an isle buying some cleaner products and this guy like confronts me in the store.. DUDE! Was that you in the charger.. Dude!!! You just F-ing ripped past me (aka) (I did 80 past the dude 2 lanes in a 45) .. anyway getting to the funny part. So guys is trying to make me feel sorry and I honestly felt slightly bad but I wanted to laugh in his face too.. so the guy goes “you know what, Your an Asshole!” I simply go.. “Yes I am.” Haha! That pretty much ended the conversation. Dude at the counter is like “what’s that guy fussing all about”. I was like ehhh I ripped past this dude in my 392 and he’s freaking out.. 20 year old cashier is like oh that’s sweet.. long story short he tells me his dad had a kitty and he used to drive it. But he totaled it! ... the next year I saw his dad had a 392 challenger. Then the following year that kid had a green 5.7 charger.

I’ve actually gotten to use that one twice.. it’s my favorite haha... I can’t remember the second time but I do remember someone saying it. “Your an Asshole!” (Again I think It was in the 392 I calmed down since then).. and I politely responded “well yes I am!”

yea I had no idea they were that fast until I checked up on it. Apparently they are 700+hp at the crank and weigh about 150lbs less than a Challenger. These tests I have read about stated 3.1sec 0-60. And I felt like in my local DA(routinely 7800+) his turbos were helping him a bit more during the run.

they are about or above 700 to the crank, you run a simple tune + downpipes and 800 isn't that far fetched, real beauty of the m5/e63 is how hard they launch from a deadstop, they are basically demon killers on the street and will match up with sportbikes.

The downside though is definitely the sound, not to mention they cost a hefty 30-40k over non redeye hellcats.

It helps having AWD but then again there are a lot of AWD cars and trucks out there that will give hellcats a problem on light to light encounters
