I have a WBRE with 10K miles on it. Never tracked, no stop and go traffic, minimal hard braking in curves or otherwise. At the dealer today they told me I need new brakes to the tune of $6,700! I've had Brembo brakes on several cars before and acheived at least 30-50k miles. At the dealer they cited that brake pads are a wear item, which I get. She said "driving habits" at least 6 times. Thing is, I have many high performance cars and my "driving habits" don't result in this type of wear. Is this just a suck it up buttercup kinda thing and expect to pony up this cash every 10k miles?

Dealers lie. Measure the pads and rotors yourself.
Highly unlikely you need either pads or rotors at a mere 10k miles.
Pads should last 20-25k or more miles, rotors nearly double--unless you're tracking.

Also the fact that they quoted you $6700 for it... that's more than outrageous, that's double what others have posted for dealer quotes--which is already way too high.

Sounds like BS to me, I'd go to a different shop/dealer ! I have 13k on mine and they are about at the 1/2 way point. Unless you beat the crap out of the car all the time, I can't imagine them being done in at 10k.

Narrow body charger here.

41k miles on original pads and 2pc rotors. With coming up on over 5k miles of Drag & Drive towing a 1300lb trailer with it. I've probably got over 50 passes as well on them.

2016, 23k on mine, original pads with 50%+ life still on them and I have done literally hundreds of 60-130 runs and 1/4 mile passes.

No way you need brakes @ 10,000 miles..(even with spirited driving)...and the price they quoted you...obscene...get that car outta there NOW
